August 22:

Sega holds the Sonic Adventure press conference at the Tokyo International Forum. The show featured performances from several Japanese celebrities
while merchandise and promotional freebies of all manner were handed out to attendees. Hiroshi Fujioka, Sega's popular Segata Sanshiro, lead the
crowds in a chant of "SONIKKU", which was recorded and used in the final battle scene of Sonic Adventure. For those unable to attend, video from the
event was streamed live onto the internet.
