I'm back.
EggPawn
SoriddoPawn (the one with a gun, I don't understand the name)
EggKnight
Kuragen / Gold Kuragen - the enemies that trap a character
EggBishop (red) / EggMage (blue)
E-2000 / E-2000R (the gold model)
EggHammer (gray) / Heavy EggHammer (Blue)
As for the move lists, some are in the captions, others aren't. The names aren't necessarily official "names" though, they sound to me just like typical Japanese terms for these sorts of attacks in most cases.
Team Blasts:
Sonic Overdrive
Flower Festival
Chaos Inferno
Chaotix Recital
Speed Formation:
Rocket Accel - Boost to speed character from other characters
Homing Attack
Tornado (seems like they called it something else in the game?)
Forward Kick (Sonic and Shadow)
Hammer (Amy)
Shuriken (Espio)
Spin (Rolling)
Triangle Jump ("Sankaku-Tobi")
Light Dash
Propeller Hammer (Amy)
Fly Formation:
"Sudden Rise" / Vertical Dash ("KyuuJouShou")
Rising Flight ("JouShou-Hikou")
ThunderShoot (throw other characters)
Individual attacks are described, not named
Power Formation:
Dive (Gliding--I believe this is refered to as "Triangle Dive" for Team Sonic in the game?)
Diagnal Attack (throw attack by Knuckles and Omega)
Body Press (Vector and Big)
Knuckles Combo: "Dash Straight," "Spin BackKnuckle," "Volcanic Dunk"
Omega Combo: Same as Knuckles except level 3, "Omega Arm"
Big Combo: Umbrella (name not given), "Fire Knock," "Big Fishing"
Vector Combo: Level 2 is "Vector Blaze," no names given for others.
Nothing of interest in the Special Stage section, just how to play. Same deal for Metal Sonic, however, for Metal Overlord, it says that the characters are in "Hyper" mode, not Super. I don't remember if the game reflects that or not, or if it is simply the Japanese term "Hyper" (which is of course borrowed from English) to describe them, which is a common enough thing (ie Fei Yen from Virtual On's "Hyper" mode when she drops to 50% health)
Metal Madness attacks:
Fire Attack (Right hand)
Spine Attack (from his back)
Claw Attack (Left Hand)
Tail Attack
Core (his weak spot)
Metal Overlord:
Spine Attack
Crystal Attack
Battleship (summons EggFleet ship)
Chaos Control
The first "Unknown" page is about scoring (level up bonus, points for time, and chained "technique points"), the second is about Super Hard mode.

Well, that certainly would explain why so many people referred to Shadow's transformation in SA2 as "Hyper Shadow"... you know, despite the fact that continuity-wise, seven Chaos Emeralds equals super form status, and such.G.Silver wrote:Nothing of interest in the Special Stage section, just how to play. By Force/Marz it is now "Emotional Mode," for Fei-Yen that is.

It would seem that damn Archie is actually responsible for this - they didn't like the idea of calling Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails's Chaos Emerald forms all "Super" - so they annoyingly decided to call them Super, Hyper, and Turbo - respectively.Well, that certainly would explain why so many people referred to Shadow's transformation in SA2 as "Hyper Shadow"... you know, despite the fact that continuity-wise, seven Chaos Emeralds equals super form status, and such.

Well, technically, Sonic DID have two Super forms, one with seven Chaos Emeralds, and one with the seven CEs and the seven Super Emeralds. I'm thinking 'Hyper Sonic' just came up as a fan name that caught on with Archie.
(Knuckles actually has two super forms as well, but he always looks like some sort of deranged rat when he transforms. Never mind that!)

So I guess that screen in Sonic 3 & Knuckles that says "Sonic collected all the Super Emeralds. Now Sonic can turn into Hyper Sonic." was just bogus.

I'm back.
How was Japan? (and thanks for the translations) ^_^
In the English sound track they are refered to as ‘Super Transformations’. Hmm… I wonder if this indicates is that Tails and Knuckles do receive more than a gold barrier and transform into a new ‘form’ (After using the Chaos Emeralds their stances and poses are altered).Same deal for Metal Sonic, however, for Metal Overlord, it says that the characters are in "Hyper" mode, not Super. I don't remember if the game reflects that or not, or if it is simply the Japanese term "Hyper" (which is of course borrowed from English) to describe them, which is a common enough thing (ie Fei Yen from Virtual On's "Hyper" mode when she drops to 50% health)
Although, the naming and poses are too vague to be completely confirm a new ‘form’.

One thing I noticed about the strategy guide is that the characters' ages aren’t mentioned. Maybe the ages given in the US manual are a SOA invention (apparently the ages contradict with the information given in Sonic X).

The only age that differed was Rouge's (18 in X, 17 in Heroes).big_smile wrote: One thing I noticed about the strategy guide is that the characters' ages aren’t mentioned. Rouge also sounds like she's in her 20's. I thought it was crazy when I found out Amy was only 12; I thought she was at least 14. I'm pretty sure it is but, is it normal for a 12-year-old girl to chase a 15-year-old guy? I guess it seems weird at that age, but when people get older, it seems normal for a 30-yr-old to be with a 45-yr-old.
Well shit! J.C.14 is on as I post this. GAWDAMNIT!!

BROTHERS!!!!That would be "Solid (Egg) Pawn". 'cause the other one is a liquid, you know.
Rouge sounds like she could be in her 30s to me, but that's because her voice reminded me of the mother of the kids I taught English to when I was on my exchange.Rouge also sounds like she's in her 20's.
It was great! One of those real "get away from it all"-type vacations (nice to be able to do this on a food-service salary... ^^), like it was about three weeks but it felt like I'd been there way, way longer, but not without that "this is dragging" feeling. There are a few entries on my <a href="http://www.livejournal.com/users/helldr ... Journal about it, but not much of interest (I mostly kept up on it for my parents) to be honest. How was Japan?
