Wait, was that how it was? I always assumed that Horace was jealous of Clarabelle's liking to Goofy, while Goofy is oblivious to the whole relationship and thinks nothing of it.Zeta wrote: Poor Goofy had to fight with Horace Horseface to try to date a damn cow.
Of course, the only reason I got that notion was because I was looking in a Disney book filled with history and stuff, and I saw a picture of Horace, Clarabelle, and Goofy all holding hands while their feet looked like they were dancing in one picture in caveman-ish attire; Clarabelle was in the middle looking at Goofy, Horace looked at both Clarabelle and Goofy jealously, and Goofy was, uh, being Goofy. I've never actually seen a short with the three of them, though, so I can't say I truly know the relationship between the three.

We need more villains, or bring back old ones like Fang.
Or maybe some kind of rise of the machines theme...The Doc builds metal copies of everyone and the copies go nuts...
Sonic adventure rocked, Sonic adventure 2 has plotholes and all but at least Shadow is suposed to die in that game. Fans wanted him to be back, so they got him back...
Sega is doing what fans want (Shadow whith guns, a character named Blaze) so is really our fault...

Yeah, because they've been doing exactly what we've wanted the past few years.Nova wrote:Sega is doing what fans want (Shadow whith guns, a character named Blaze) so is really our fault...

No, they're assuming what we want and are making games based on what they think little kids like (which is just about anything fed to them).

There is any relationship with Sega Downfall and Naoto Oshima leaving Sega?.
Oh and because no one asked, I’m from Argentina

It's not the first time they've rehashed old games. They've had at least one Sonic rehash for every main console system Sega has put out. Even Genisis had a Sonic compilation! Gems Collection is just a good idea because there are so many people who never got a chance to play Fighters / Championship. As for Blaze.........I know it's an older one, but:

I'll still probably get Rush, Shadow, and Gems Collection.
Because I am a consumer whore.

The e3 video's now up on Sega's site, showing some of the first stage and the first boss.

More impressed since I saw them screenshots in Sonic Rush where the graphics looked kinda fugly. I kinda like the whole 2D/3D idea thing or maybe I'm just saying that since I thought Klonoa 2 looked visually impressive like that.
Any who, I had a real Sonic 3 and Knuckles vibe when I saw this, mainly because the level for some reason had me thinking about Mushroom Hill Zone, minus the mushrooms and much more faster.

Agreed, but I think that it just looks bad because the 2D background doesn't match the 3D model. If the background fit, then it would probably look good, but here it just looks like Sonic Blast for the GG all over again!Ngangbius wrote:God, that Sonic model is the worst thing ever in the Sonic franchise! EVER! That is just a disgrace!
Also, I haven't read all the pages yet, so I don't know if somebody else said the same thing, and if they have then I apologize.
EDIT: Just saw the video. The sound effects (save the "yeah, yeah, alright!") really work with this, especially that homing jump-esq thing he does, and I see that they brought back a partially old school spindash, so I might forgive it. might.

Because the strip was quoted out of context. It was about the Shadow the Hedgehog game.Brazillian Cara wrote:I don't get it.minnietguinea wrote:It's not the first time they've rehashed old games. You know, that actually looks pretty cool. I was particularly impressed by the boss battle, which seemed to make decent use of both screens and the ability to rotate the camera without seeming too pointless or gimicky.J.E.Smith wrote:The e3 video's now up on Sega's site, showing some of the first stage and the first boss.

As for the level itself... like Gibbon said... the extra screen extends the viewing area in the least-useful possible way for a standard Sonic game. But they seem to have compensated by making the levels themselves a lot more vertically orienented. The extra screen gives an advanced view of what's coming up surprisingly often. It actually looks like it could be useful, particularly for helping to avoid spring-jumping headlong into something bad, or for distinguishing slight drops from bottomless pits of death.
And the screen swapping doesn't look particularly confusing to me. The biggest problem that I can see is that it would force linear levels instead of ones with multiple routes.
I'm not sold on the level art yet, but I think the polygonated elements look fine. They do contrast with the 2D elements. But it doesn't look any wonkier than solid-coloured animation cells on watercolour-paint backgrounds. It should help visually seperate the enemies and objects from the background elements, which was a pretty serious problem in the Advance series.

I'm surprised at how well the level design flows in that video. One of the things I hated about the Advance games was the levels are designed very poorly and do not really allow for much flow as you end up stopping often to change directions or jump or something. If all the levels in this game can keep up that kind of speed throughout, it'd be a somewhat impressive feat for a recent Sonic game.
