I absolutely agree on the Mike Myers thing. Austin Powers 1 was pretty good, and then it all went to shit. Wayne's World remains, like, the best thing ever.

Incidentally guys, if any of you want a mental image of how Mr Adaamant is in real life, just think of Garth from Wayne's World.

Ha, by the way, I cut all my hair off so you won't be able to make that comparison nearly as easily in the future.

Austin Powers 2 and 3 simply recycled jokes from Wayne's World 1 and 2 and How I Married an Axe Murderer.

Specifically, the whole "mole" joke in Goldmember was blatantly lifted from the scene in the clerk's office in Wayne's World 2.

I thought Goldmember was one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. Then I watched it again a few months later and thought it was the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

Also, has anyone else noticed that Mike Myers tends to pick roles that have an ungodly amount of product placement in them?

I loved the Spy Who Shagged Me, until I saw it again and realized it was just one big commercial with dick jokes.

I think the product placement comes later. I doubt it is written into the script. Considering I think he wrote the Austin Powers movies maybe he was the one who landed the deals, but I somehow doubt it.
