Sonic DS ROM
<a href="http://bt.s0nicfreak.com/details.php?id=2589">No shit. Torrent here.</a>
Too bad the only <a href="http://www.ndsemulator.com/">DS emulator</a> out right now can only play GBA roms though.
So, we don't exactly know if it's actually the real thing or not as of now.

Hahahaha! After Sonic Advance 3 and this being leaked so early, there's definately some Sega insider at work spreading the games out early.
Of course, everyone knows that the Nintendo DS was designed with an extra-screen and touch-sensitive interface SPECIFICALLY so that people would have a bitch of a time emulating it.
What? You thought they had good gameplay ideas concerning the DS's features?! HAH! It's all just to stop piracy.

I don't think the dual screens would be that difficult to emulate, it's the touch pad that makes it hopeless. And as Zeta pointed out, the reason the design is so bizarre in the first place is specifically to discourage piracy.
Having that said, I find it extremely unlikely that that rom is indeed of Sonic DS, which apparently isn't even at a point where it can be revealed yet. Maybe that tech demo shown at E3, if it's even a DS game in the first place.

Re: Sonic DS ROM
If it can't play DS ROMs then what exactly makes it a DS emulator?Spazz wrote:Too bad the only <a href="http://www.ndsemulator.com/">DS emulator</a> out right now can only play GBA roms though.

It's the real thing, I just watched the video, and I'm pretty sure I can safely say it's the same. The shading and the low amount of polygons look very much the same.
I don't know how well you can see it here but, you can compare it to this:
<img src="http://www.nintendo.com/e3_2004/img/ds/ ... s_ss12.jpg">
You can tell just by looking at Sonic's blocky arm.

Eh... I don't know. I mean, Sonic's arms in the model are a lot thicker than in the in-game screencap. And his gloves and hands seem quite a bit smaller in the "rip."Spazz wrote:It's the real thing, I just watched the video, and I'm pretty sure I can safely say it's the same.
