I've always wanted to check out Steve Ditko's The Question work, Steve being quite the weird guy himself.

My Dad has always been a big Steve Ditko fan, going all the way back to "The Amazing Spider-Man" in the early sixties.

According to him, Charlton Comics's "The Question" ruled, as did Ditko's work on "The Blue Beetle" and "CHECKMATE".

I have to shake him down for a chance to read those books, someday...

Poison Eggroll wrote:I actually liked the Wonder Woman turned into a pig episode. The episode was just so ridiculous that I couldn't help but find myself entertained, even though I really don't like the pairing of Wonder Woman and Batman. I don't mind mild flirting (as a matter of fact, I like mild flirting), but Wonder Woman doesn't have to go into a fit just to try to get a date with Batman, or it doesn't have to get to the point where Batman has to explain that dating is a really bad idea. But anyway, something that was ridiculous:

*Zatanna strikes Circes with table*
Circes: Insolent trickster, you dare to strike--
*chair strikes Circes*
Circes: Ughu! You dare to strike--
*table strikes Circes*
Circes: Ow! You dare to strike--
*piece of cloth strikes Circes*
Circes: Quit it!... Oh no...!
*piano strikes Circes*

Man, that was just such a ridiculous script it just had to be animated.

The episode Hawk and Dove can die, though.
I concurr, "This Little Piggy" was brilliant insanity.

Personally, while I thought "Hawk and Dove" wasn't the best episode they've done, I didn't think it was that bad.

I just wish Paul Dini could have written something for "Teen Titans". Doubtlessly, he'd slip in some innuendo about Robin and Starfire, and possibly an in-joke to the notoriously bad "Teen Titans" comic of the '60s and '70s (that is, before Marv Wolfman came in and revitalized the series as "The New Teen Titans" in 1982).

I can picture it now:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Beast Boy: This is worse than a Holly Hip album.

Starfire: Is this "Holly Hip" person some kind of monstrous being?

Raven: Worse, he was a bubblegum pop idol.

Cyborg: Like Beast Boy said, evil.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It should also be noted that at one point Hawk and Dove were members of the Titans, but sadly, they were members during the 1970s, when the series was really, really sucky. Dikto characters going to waste must be some kind of crime, shouldn't it?

EDIT: Fixed a couple of spelling mistakes.
