The names Jonumu, Sujin, Ayumi, and Hezun might be completely meaningless to people in the West, but in their native South Korea they are instantly recognized as the stars of pop band Sugar, who have now been chosen by Sega Japan to promote forthcoming Eye Toy game, Sega Superstars. According to Watch Impress, the band will be appearing in a TV commercial for the game. Other promotional activities are also planned, but the exact details of these are unclear. The girls are no strangers to Sega gaming as the band was recently used to advertise competitions in Sega’s Japanese arcade centres.
Sega Superstars will launch in Japanese stores on November 11th for 7, 329 yen with an Eye Toy Camera or for 4,410 yen without. The game will be one player only, but will feature 12 mini-games.
Sega Europe recently sent a preview copy to several UK game magazines, many of which have printed pictures that confirm the presence of Super Sonic in the Sonic game (unfortunately, these pictures do not appear to be available online). According to SoE, the game will be available in Europe on the 31st of December. Sega America has the game set for an autumn release.
