I will add you in four years when they try to bury stock of PS3s next to ET carts.

Wise choice with the Ps3. 360's have a notorious record for breaking down, and Microsoft has done nothing to fix the problem other than giving consumers a free replacement in the mail, which will just die again within a month anyway.

I wish I had the money for one. :/

I plan to buy a PS3 in 2010,, after all, I bought a Psp-200 two years ago, I only have two games for it, and I only played it twice, Im just too used to the DS...

PS: So, know any PSP games that dont have bigger consoles counterparts and are good for the PSP?

Jasper board has already solved the RRoD issue, it's down to a ~10% probability, more like the PS3's own hardware failure rate.

Now, if people stopped placing them into small holes with no air flow to speak of, and if MS redesigned the fucker so that no one could stand it on its side...

Arcade, perhaps it's a good idea for you to start by looking up here for (according to game "journalists") quality titles.

I found a PS1 game in my basement called, imaginatively enough, "Snowboarding". I put it in my PS3 and it worked fine, despite Sony's website saying that PS1 games aren't backwards compatible on my system model (80GB). Now I'll have to borrow a PS2 game from someone to see if that works too.

IIRC PS1 games work with all PS3 models - it's PS2 compatibility that's in question.

Honestly, I'd have been more tempted to get the PS3 if Sony hadn't been retarded and removed PS2 support entirely.

Sony makes it rather confusing. I like how thorough their backwards compatibility search is however. It tells you any problems that have been reported for any game. I wish the search engine was up to date for my 2USB port 80GB system though.

Most of those games have a bigger console counterpart... but I wanna try Patapon anyway... is not War wind (I lose that game and my copy of it got crushed-_-) but well, seems to be the only game that got my atencion.

So, I know the 350 has the Viva Piñata series, but has the ps3 any cool game thats not a sequel?

I am trying to decide too. If Sega was still making consoles there wouldn't be this problem.. For me the deciding factor will be the Sega games, but that still doesn't make it an easy choice. The PS3 has Initial D and Valkyria, but then Xbox Live is getting stuff like Virtual On: OT, OutRun Online, Rez HD.... plus has backwards compatability with Jet Set Radio Future, Phantom Dust, Panzer Dragoon Orto etc..

Then there are the controllers which is a mixed bag too. I prefer the analog pads and triggers on 360, but I also like to play a lot of 2D games and of course the 360's d-pad is pretty bad.

As far as reliability, I don't trust MS or Sony. Everything I've ever had that is Sony breaks, and I take care of my stuff.....And then the 360...yeah.. 360 it happens more often but it really comes down to luck if it happens to you or not, 360 or PS3. This is one area where Nintendo doesn't get enough credit. Yeah the Wii doesn't have as much tech going on, but they still build their hardware a lot better than anyone else.

Doesn't Japan get it too? And more importantly, does that not mean that you could simply download it on our PlayStation Store then? :^

(Now, admittedly, I'm a bit biased towards the '360, but) if you haven't played any of the Xbox / '360 games you listed, that sounds like the way to go to me. The '360 does have a terrible D-pad, though I hear you can use the Street Fighter controller so long as you don't need the stick. As far as busted hardware goes, the '360 does break a fair bit, but Microsoft is pretty good about getting you back to playing ASAP.
