Ugh, not only is Chip in the game, he's the new Omachao. But hey, he played through an entire level without Werehog! That's a good sign

It's been said before, but... god damn does this game have some pretty cut scenes.

It's like the kind of Sonic cartoon I REALLY wanted as a kid!

Hey... depending on how bad the motion controls are implemented, we may be lucky that a waggle-free alternative is also on the way!

Those people actually look pretty cool. I wonder if you can run into them or attack them while going through the level.

I'm betting they'll do Crazy Taxi-style dives out of the way if you get too close.
Awesome to see some new content. I'm sick of that damn first level already and I haven't even played it.

I will bet on the forums where Shadow was well-received, there's a ton of posts to the tune of, "Is it true? I really hope it's true! I hope it's for blood and swearing and sex!"cjmcray wrote:Hahaha.

By listening to the music on that site, specially the china one on the media section I can safely say that Sonic is back! at least in the Music department!
And like some of you noticed, that Japanese guy at TGS played the game how its supposed to be played :)

Also Aquaslash at CulT uploaded all the songs from the site: http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/4/11/ ... emusic.zip
Excellent music too. I assume it's by Nanba and Ohtani again?

Well, I can't buy it on release though since I'll have to import it. I refuse to buy any more new games in my country since they all have that fucking gigantic USK logo on them now.

Re: Sonic Unleashed?
Super Sonic's shoes are kinda weird.
Also I'll probably import the Japanese version too if it runs on PAL Xbox 360s while I'm at it, now that you said that. The logo and title are nicer, and the Yen is cheaper than the Euro of my neighbouring countries anyway.

The mystery of the song that Sonic was whistling on that video has been solved, he is actually whistling a song from the game, it is the "worldMap" BGM.

Re: Sonic Unleashed?
The music is one of the most important things in a game IMO, and this game has the music.
It rivals Adventure 1 and 2 as well as other older Sonic games like Sonic CD, that's how good it is. Unlike Sonic2006 I think they actually placed effort into this one and it really feels "more into the roots" than past failed attempts, yes we got the crazy Werehog but at least is not a gun or a motorcycle, and its cartoony and silly demeanor has got me a little (dare I say it?) interested.
All that said, I cant wait for the demo to get a better grasp of this game, At the time all indicates that this game is being handled well and the TGS demos are highly playable unlike the Sonic2006 fiasco where its clearly showed it was going to be a flawed game. The fact that Sonicteam made a Hedgehog Engine to better handle Sonic games is a step forward to that better future that we all hope for.
