Looks familiar. I also find that every time you have a cleanup and remove various appliances, the buildup happens again. I must also compliment hamster sixth sense as despite my hamster chewing everything he gets his wee pinky hands on, he never chews wires.

My gaming setup is set up in a way that there are barely any wires tangled with eachother. The only things that get tangled occasionally here are my gaming controllers.

I know I'm not the only one who was thinking something more along the lines of those litte fibre optic Christmas trees upon seeing this topic's title. GG!'s made a habit of getting my hopes up and failing to deliver.

You people are going to light your houses on fire.

That said, I have no pictures available but mine looks pretty much the same.

I'd be quite interested in seeing a picture of GG!'s gaming collection.

Well, I had this hanging around for some reason. It's the wrong side, but you get the idea.

I actually only have my Wii and Dreamcast hooked up to my TV, and it's really not nearly as bad as those pictures posted so far. It might look worse than it is because there's a big, long cable mixed in there.

For some reason when we got an extra cable line installed, me and my brother thought it would be a good idea to have an extra long cable so we could roll the TV out of the room it was in, through the hall, and around the corner to our bedroom. And my mom ok'd our idea (despite us only being in second and fifth grade). So the cable guy put a ton of slack on the line and now there sits the long, thick cord, in an unused state, underneath a pile of wires in my current bedroom.

Maybe I'll upload some pictures latter.

At least we don't have awful balance problems with overpowered pyros everywhere.

If you think pyros are overpowered in any version of TF2, you are totally fucking terrible at TF2.

I know they were underpowered and still are a little on the console versions (which doesn't stop me from maining them) but after all that Backburner stuff I heard of PC players that the balance has become pretty screwed up there.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. The only time pyros could have ever been considered overpowered was when the Backburner added the +50 health bonus, which was removed pretty much immediately.

Oh, the HP bonus was removed?! I didn't know that, sorry.

Yeah, Pyros aren't THAT much of a nuisance. Although it really kicks ass when you set somebody on fire and then take them down in a matter of seconds with your axtinguisher... shame that this tactic can just as easily backfire, as you run around like an idiot swinging the thing and get taken down by the flaming Medic/Heavy pair you're running straight into. I do need a bit of practice with that one...

As for techno pubes, the area I just plugged my newly-purchased used PS2 went into is absolute hell, with a 360, Wii, two Xboxes, NES, PS1 and DC all plugged into one HDTV in a wire mess that'd make the worst weed infestation in a building look tame by comparison. Not to mention, in my room I have one small TV with a Saturn, Genesis, DVD player and GameCube plugged into it - using RF, no less - and, in another corner, a PC with a Wii plugged into the computer monitor as well. So yeah, I've got tons of messes like this; shame I don't have the pictures to back it up. Rest assured, it basically looks about as bad as every other picture in this thread.

Why do you have multiples of the same console? Import?

Also, my wires are relatively neat, I guess. The Wii and 360 are tucked away nicely in a computer desk. The problem is all the junk on top of the desk.

Some imported, some bought because they were packed with something else of desire that would have been at least as expensive without anything else anyway.
For example I have two PAL Saturns. One I bought for the sake of itself, then one that was bundled with NiGHTS and a 3D control pad for a price that I could have bought that game alone for. And finally my white Japanese one so I could import stuff and play at full speed.
Or my original Mega Drive II that I had since I was a young child - it was joined by a Mega Drive I that came with a Mega-CD II I bought at eBay and later a pre-modded MDII.
...I don't think that was directed at me though, as in my pic all the wires were of different consoles. Whatever.

Well, for me, it's because different people own the different consoles; little brother owns one Wii, I've owned the other since launch. Siblings and I own one 360 since Xmas 2006, Dad's owned the other since launch (both have since RRoD'd for the record).

Am I surprised at this? ...yes, actually. But playing Braid on a chair is comfier than playing it on Dad's bed, so it's all good.

As for the two Xboxes, the first one gets constant Disc Read Errors, so we just got a new one instead. And then we got a 360 not long after that, making me wonder why we wasted the money.

I certainly wish I had an import Saturn, though.

Pretty tidy, I guess. That's a TV, a PC, a monitor, a set of speakers, and the big one is my brand new Dreamcast. Behind it lies an unconnected plug, that's the PS2. I'll replace the extension cord with a bigger one once I replace the TV table.

Rereading this topic makes me laugh at how there used to be a point when the Backburner could be considered overpowered. What an underpowered piece of shit it is now! I mean, they haven't nerfed it or anything, but the normal flamethrower's airblast keeps getting more and more useful (with all the new projectile weapons (although I still suck at using it), new uses for counters (particularly nice against Eyelander/Targe Demos) and the ability to put out fellow teammates who are on fire) to the point that using the Backburner is rather pointless - you'd kill them nearly as fast by properly flanking anyway, and you'd be giving up more versatility outside of that niche.

Anyway, that list of consoles we own is a slight bit outdated. Toss on an N64, a SNES, another Wii (living room this time, Mom uses it for Wii Fit and Pinball: Hall of Fame), turn the small TV into a nice, huge TV (that isn't an HDTV, but screw it, it looks great anyway), and move the Wii from my computer to that television. I've been trying to cut down on the techno pubes, though, since that outlet blew a few months back, knocking out power to the whole room. In fact, an outlet blew just yesterday, although it turned out to be a different one this time. This room has some serious wiring issues, I swear. It'd be great if this shit happened at a time not involving a giant snowstorm making getting to and from places an impossibility.
