It is a giant Organ carved into a cliff.

While still in denial of the fact that ShTH ate my soul, I drew this. Logic says that instead of de-powering and placing the emeralds in the eclipse cannon, Shadow would just jam his superform self into the cannon to power it.

If only the game was not an incompetent mess.....

To make atonement for the sins of SEGA.

If you actually want to know, it was supposed to be Shadow powering the eclipse cannon to destroy the black comet.

Hey, G. Silver or anyone who might be 3d-savvy, do you know anything about lighting? Because obviously mental ray lighting raytracing global illumination caustics final gather hates me and I hate it. You'd think lighting would be a simple process but NOOOOO, it has to be all complicated with getting results that you think could be better. When I watch Pixar stuff I hate how easy they make it look. Does anyone have experience with REYES rendering and how that works out? Supposedly it's what Pixar has been using to help with faster and more accurate realistic lighting...

The main thing I do is just crank up the ambient, and usually give it a color value (usually a soft gray or tan). I don't know anything about lighting. XD

Don't believe everything you hear about mentalray. Apart from that, trial and error. Or physical sun. Are we talking about Maya, here?

Your rendition of Ice Man makes me swoon. He just... He coruscates raw man. You wanna know how to really win my heart? Render him in this pose. You've gotta do this for me.

Who's the guy carrying Roll supposed to be, though? Captain Planet?

is just crank up the ambient
Yeah, that's what I normally do, especially if I don't care about lighting and just feel like getting a quick render of a model, but thanks for NOTHING.

Also, yeah, it could be Colossus. I also hate that model of Iceman, at least his generic male base (particularly his hands). I've since made a better generic male mesh. I also kind of wish I was capable of not making it look so cartoony, so maybe I'll try harder to make a realistic human some other time.

Image

Also I'll pose him like that only if you pay me. YEAH THAT'S RIGHT.

I always wondered what he was thinking when placing the comet between ARK and Earth. What if he missed? He had all seven emeralds in there, after all.

If you're gonna fact-check Shadow's plot, that's an odd place to start.

I totally intended to imitate Skottie Young's style and Hyung Tae-Kim's coloring (I was looking at both while trying to imitate their respective styles) but apparently I can't copy anybody's style when they're extremely superior to me. Damn you superior artists!

Do yourself two favours: Pat yourself on the back for the amazing job, and change Crabmeat to Gani-gani before Gibs sees it.

I've been thinking about it, but I have other things I want to do too, so..

edit: also, I'm terrified that any others wouldn't be as good as this one.

I like how you can tell the texture was painted by G. Silver. What kind of brushes do you use?

Anyway, I worked on my next pic and I can't help but feel something is lacking in it. I think it might be the obvious use of clean computer graphics for the BG clashes with the marker-ish feel of the characters. However I think I looked at the thing too long that now to me it looks fine, so I need someone with a fresh pair of eyes.
