A miserable little pile of combos

Post by Shadow Hog »

Castlevania comes to the Wii... as a fighter.

"Unexpected" would probably be an understatement, wouldn't it? I hope somebody from the Sorrow games makes it in here (Alucard notwithstanding).

And I thought I was the only one who still got NP...

This is beyond odd. Oh well, it's still one of the few (real) fighters for the system, so it shouldn't have much competition.

If it means anything, Takeshi Obata of Death Note fame is doing the character design. Which means we'll be treated to Light Belmont and Misa Renard.

Still waiting on L-lucard.

I liked Obata's art in Hikaru no Go and Death Note, but this...

It's like the reverse of SoulCaliber Legends. Did Namco & Konami decide to trade Wii projects or something?

I almost shutter to think what kind of game Street Fighter Wii would be now.

That's basically what I said on another forum as well. Making everyone look like Death Note rejects doesn't help my further impressions of this game.

It's amazing all the other series Konami has thrown aside over the years (Twinbee, Goemon, Parodious, Gradius, Tokimeki Memorial, Sparkster), but heaven forbid we go more than 6 months without a new Castlevania game being announced, much less a Soul Calibur reject. Sometimes I think Castlevania, Metal Gear Solid, and Winning Eleven are the only series Konami cares about.

DDR is dead.

I don't think Konami cares about Castlevania either. If they did, they would have given Iga a bigger budget for the 3D games.

I wish they would release ITG3.... :{ Konami does seem to care about beatmania IIDX still, but that's not exactly something that carries any weight outside of Japan....
