Juz want to thank the GHZ...

Post by LoyC »

Thanks Jared Matte aka Green Gibbon=! for updating your freaking-good site...

i started surfing the net for sonic stuff last year i think and i remember reading detailedly on your site how Sonic (my real idol since 9years ago, now i'm 18) was created out of a meeting, and the conflicts and behind-the-scene stories which went on from Sonic 1 to 3&K...

i don't think they are "things on there that absolutely nobody cares about except me" because your site really made my day/weeks/months when all my childhood Sonic craze came back to me again. Moreover, you seem to like Sonic3&K a lot which i am proud to say i've completed it trillions of times (with 99+ lives until my number of lives appear like it was in debug mode, but was reseted to 99 as you change zone *agghhh*), for its groups of 3 acts per zone and creative placing of items. (Sonic 2 was not bad with several secrets places, extremely difficult bonus stages, intro of "Shinku" super sonic and the cool level select codes. yet the first sonic game i bought was Sonic 3, my pride and joy =)

Alright i have yakked a lot, but i still think your site is 1 of the most comprehensive Sonic musuem sites around and a lot of hardwork goes to you Matte for keeping it up...and making earlier, 1st-generation sonic fans like me happy to see Sonic's past is not dead and still roX. thanks again and will be around exploring every cool detail of your site! =D

I discovered the site in July while searching for a Sonic related site, and I've probably been the "Guest" that has been lingering for the past month and a half!

I discovered his site back in late 98, I think.. or was it early 99? Not sure, I just know Sonic Adventure was all the craze those days.

GG! doesn't give himself enough credit I believe. He's changed the way people view a Sonic the Hedgehog site.

I agree 100% with that.

I found this site when GG still had "Silver Sonic" as a profile. I don't remember when that was, somewhere around 96-99.

I can't imagine GG calling himself "Silver Sonic" - as that would imply he took himself and the fandom seriously. And that thought disturbs me.

He didn't call himself Silver Sonic. He had "Silver Sonic" listed as a character. My bad.

Yeah, that was for what I guess is now officially "Mecha" Sonic. In the US Game Gear manual for Sonic 2, they called him Silver Sonic, and at that time I still qualified those as official.

It'll make ecxatly one year in Setember that I've red about this site in the EGM (brazillian version), and it became one of my favorites. Some notes to you, GG:
-basic: you've got an FANTÃ￾STICO site!
-it's just a shame you're too conservative about Sonic games.
-Silver Sonic?
-Did you received that H-manga I sent?

Nah... it's a fun hobby and that's why I keep on doing it, but if I could make money from creating an insanely detailed Sonic the Hedgehog fansite, there would be something wrong with the world. And there's plenty wrong with the world, but at least that's not one of those things.
Did you received that H-manga I sent?
No, I don't seem to be getting any of those. I don't know what the deal is, there's nothing wrong with the subliminal code. I figure they're being horded by someone at the post office.

I found this site back in '98. Been lurking ever since. Just now decided to finally start postin'.

P.S. Loved the XXX LIVE NUDE PENGUINS!! bit.

BTW, GG!. I used to live in Laffayette, (previous to that, Metairie). Did you live on a street named Daniel Drive? I could swear one of my neighbors was named Jared. He also loved Sonic.

I lived on Aris Avenue, off of Veterans. I went to Marie B. Riviere(sp?) Elementary.

What part do you live in?

Dude, did you ever go to the Fun Arcade next to Dorignac's grocerey? I loved that place. Until Celebration Station came around.

Unfortunatley, I've only been there once. (I've really gotta go more.) That was last year; it's still there. There was another one on Vets. near Chapelle High School, I think that one was shut down.

It's still there?! I thought it was turned into an indoor paintball or laser tag type place? I didn't know there was also another one.

No way, Lazer Tag is <i>way</i> far down Vets. from that arcade; and I don't think there's any paintball places that I know of anywhere close to here.
How old were you when you lived here?

That was some information that a friend of mine who still lives there gave me, guess it was faulty info.

Anyway, good to know there are fellow LA natives on the board.

Edit: Sorry, didn't notice the question. I lived there until I was 14. Then moved up here. These people here think I am the most cultured person cause I lived in a city with more than 10,000 people.
