So K. Rool didn't make it in. Not even as a damn boss.

If the rumor about Fox's lineup is true, and that they're all clones, this will be beyond sad. Probably only a day or two more before we know for certain.

Well, at least Toon Link's more "distinct" than regular Link, clone or not (compared to Young Link). Also, did I spy him using the Wind Waker as one of his taunts?

Yeah, I really don't get it. Did we really need TWO clones of Fox? Falco was bad enough, but what the hell can Wolf bring to the table? Apparently he even has the EXACT SAME FS, too. For shame, Sakurai.

Honestly, although it'd raise a ton of complaints about furry smut, Krystal might have been a better choice - her staff/club-based gameplay would be considerably more unique than recycling Fox. Again. Heck, get another third-party character in; I'd have loved to see Ryu or something. (An actual fighter in a fighting game? Perish the thought!)

Granted this is my only gripe with the roster, wasting a slot for Wolf, which means it's a pretty solid roster all things considered...

Yeah, Wolf is the worst part of all 35 characters. People shouldn't be complaining about ROB. He's unique.

I blame the tourneyfags for all constantly spamming Wolf at tournaments. No doubt someone on the dev team went "Wow! Everyone loves Fox! We need some morra that in the game!"

Edit: So far, 36 of the reputed 41 stages have been found:
* Battlefield
* Delfino Plaza
* Mushroomy Kingdom
* Yoshi's Island
* Lylat Cruise
* Bridge of Eldin
* Smashville
* Rumble Falls
* Skyworld
* Castle Siege
* WarioWare
* Pokemon Stadium 2
* Halberd
* Shadow Moses Island
* New Pork City
* PictoChat
* The Summit
* Norfair
* Mario Circuit
* Frigate Orpheon
* Distant Planet
* Green Hill Zone
* Mt. Coronet
* The Great Sea
* Classic Mario Bros
* Port Town
* Game and Watch
* Electroplankton
* Final Destination
* Luigi's Mansion
* Hyrule Temple
* Yoshi's Island
* Corneria
* Onett
* Brinstar
* Rainbow Ride

Guys, Falco is no longer an exact clone. I can't be bothered to look up the youtube videos right now, but aside from his up-B and FS all his other moves are different. He wields dual-blasters, Side B is a weird yo yo thing, and his Down B is now a drill-like move.

I'm probably wrong since I stopped following Pokémon after Yellow, but could it be that Lucario's actually Mewtwo replacement, just as everyone supposed Lucas would take Ness' place? Are the online servers for the game up and running over there, or was this just an early release with no online gameplay until the official Japanese release date (actually, forget it, I just checked it up and it's today)?

Also, here's a nice fake:

The sheer amount of Pokemon means that they have to swap ones in and out for the Smash franchise, I think. Just like Roy got replaced with Ike (who isn't a clone of Marth or Roy, by the way - Marth doesn't even have Explosion anymore). Lucario is a non-legendary fighting/steel type. Mewtwo is a Legendary psychic. The only thing they have in common is that they're both humanoid. I expect Ike and Lucario will be gone in Smash Bros 4 and replaced by the most recent and popular Pokemon and Fire Emblem characters of the day.

Yeah, Lucario's not even legendary. He just happened to star in one of the anime movies.

These are the stages I'm most interested in. Saffron City was the best stage in SSB64 partially due to its attention to the details of the Pokemon world that neither stage in Melee quite got. Does Coronet feature anything special? Say, do Dialga and Palkia walk in and warp the stage for a bit? Can you see things in the background, or does it take place inside? Is it snowing?

For GHZ, I'm also curious as to what the "gimmick" is. All I've seen so far is a perfectly-curved stage floor suitable for rolling attacks such as Sonic's and Jigglypuff's. Any characters show up? Badniks? Monitors?

I think the big question now is why this game is delayed a month. A lot of people are leaning on resupply, but Nintendo said something about development. Whether or not they're speaking the truth is entirely up in the air. I'm just wondering if there's going to be any changes...

And one last question to anyone who has info: does the game save your match preferences after shutdown? I always got annoyed how I had to go to the Rules menu in Melee to set it to Stock every single time I booted Vs. mode.

Found this elsewhere:

Is that Shadow as an assist trophy (in the large icon to the far left)? If so, BARF.

And sorry if this has already been posted.

Sonic's entrance.
He appears to attack Taboo, and essentially sets up the final battle. Neat scene, though somewhat disappointing in that it's apparently the only one he gets. Weak. (Although there is a particularly awesome bit of fan service in there...)

The final boss of SSE with Ending and Credits.
Yet another leak, found on GameFAQs, and as it turns out, Taboo is the final boss.

Sonic's late/less involved appearance in the SSE compared to Snake makes me wonder if his appearance in the game was only approved comparatively late into the game's development.

It's actually not really Mt. Coronet, but rather Spear Pillar. You can see some screenshots if you click the button in yesterday's news post at Serebii's site. Dialga and Palkia are probably chosen to be in the background at random.

Amazing how this game brought out many of Sonic's long dead attributes.

On another topic, I no longer have a favorite Pokemon Char to play as in Brawl since Mewtwo is gone which makes Sonic's and Snake's appearance more joyful for me. But I think its best he is gone since he was relatively weak quite opposite to what he trully is, and his shadow ball move fits Lucario much more since all he does is trow balls.

SO, I am trying not to entirely spoil this game before march, but i must know, what role does Shadow play? assist trophy or quick appearance in SSE?

Apparently, Ganondorf has his own Up Special now instead of Falcon Hump. And Falco has three new moves - he can't be considered a clone anymore. A drill kick for Down, double blasters for B, and something else I can't remember. So basically, Wolf is the only straight up 100% clone character in the entire game. Hate him with me. It looks like he just plays like Melee Falco and that's it.
