The actual gameplay is solid, but frankly a little basic and uninspired. Imagine a version of Kirby where you constantly swim and can't absorb powers, instead slowly gaining a couple as you play. Are Stafy's games all that good? The characters are cute and stuff, but I never got to play those, just saw a weird commercial with scatological humour that was cool.
Most of the best part of the games comes from the much more creative and refined character designs and art and humorously bizarre cutscenes. It's really trippy. It also has a surprisingly detailed plot for a series of platformers - which is one of the reasons they were probably never brought over to America - they think that the target audience of the Starfy games in America are incapable of reading.

Fuck yes.

Kinda looks like he'll sing "Dick in a Box" any moment soon, though.

I should never have gotten my expectations so high for Zero Suit Kirby.

And yet it doesn't answer the question in the backs of all our minds: what does Sonic Kirby look like?

Probably just spines, maybe the ears. Hopefully nothing as retarded as the Yoshi or Pikachu masks.

God, I can't stop laughing at that.

I don't think I could look at Kirby the same way once he's had tits, if that's what you're driving at.Team Mecha wrote:I should never have gotten my expectations so high for Zero Suit Kirby.

I believe this is Kirby's Zero Suit hat. The ponytail looks identical to ZS Samus'.Team Mecha wrote:I should never have gotten my expectations so high for Zero Suit Kirby.

For Sonic Kirby, I'm desperately hoping he doesn't get a sonic-hat; I want his shoes to get white straps and gold buckles.

Today's update: little more than a trailer of sorts for Subspace Emissary.
It's nice to see a bit more about what the characters will be doing, but I was disappointed to see nothing revealing the roles of Sonic (or Snake, for that matter).

Monday is one month from the japanese release, right? Either way, this is my cue to duck out. I've had my fill of Dojo spoilers. I'll be sitting out the rest and waiting for the inevitable info flood in January or February.
Well, there is one thing i'd have wished to see by now, and that's anything on Captain Falcon. Truly bizzare, wouldn't they have had at least four extra excuses to not make a more mundane update if they'd opened up about him already? He's got to have some reason to wait. No clue what though, hopefully excepting Sakurai just hanging the Cap'n out to dry for kicks.
For that matter, that there hasn't been a new F-Zero in over 3 years gets me wondering if Imamura was more than just stuck for ideas after GX.

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
There was a Kirby CoroCoro manga I bought in Japan some time ago. There was a page in which Kirby grew an enormous pair of breasts in an attempt to feed a baby King Dedede. The image has ... lodged itself somewhere in my brain and not left in these years since.DackAttac wrote:I don't think I could look at Kirby the same way once he's had tits, if that's what you're driving at.

Falcon was an unlockable in SSB64 & he's no doubt an unlockable again. With the exception of Shiek, all of the default characters & none of the unlockables from the 1st 2 games have been shown.FlashTHD wrote:Monday is one month from the japanese release, right? Well, it seems Mega Man in Brawl is looking unlikely.
Mega Man is the only other 3rd party character I've been hoping for so I'd be pretty disappointed if he's not in Brawl but it's not as if his inclusion is going to make or break the game.

Re: Smash Bros 3 Site Goes Live.
That's a shame, especially since it looks like Inafune WANTS MegaMan to be in Brawl, too.
Of course, I was always curious as to the limit for the number of third-party characters--as far as I know, there are (or were) only 2 or 3 openings, and this news appears to claim that only two spots were avaliable--spots that Sonic and Snake are now occupying.
