Oh, and responding to a post about five pages back, I hadn't heard of cowboy bebop either. Or half the apparently popular anime series you talk about. I'm sorry, but every time I try watching something like that it generally ends up being predictable, verging on dire. Although my entire sample is take from after school TV, so I haven't seen much variety.

Now there's an interesting idea. Can you suggest an easily obtainable, easy to get into, high quality anime series? More to the point, can you do so without degenerating into a massive pile of flames about it? It would be an interesting experiment, 'cause I don't think I'm giving it a chance.

I don't really think it's possible to 'be an anime fan' since so much of it is so cack. Everyone loves Bebop, though, so I guess you could just check that out.

Evangelion is lovely if you can get your head round it. I don't watch many series myself, though-- films are where it's at. Check out anything by Studio Ghibli: Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away...

By that respect, it isn't really possible to "be a game fan." Or a movie fan. Or a fan of any other popular media, for that matter.

Uhh, you have seen the movie, right?

Everybody who isn't watching Fullmetal Alchemist should check it out. It's 51 episodes long, but it pretty much surpasses every other show I've seen. Bebop would probably be the best thing to start out with, though.

And Popcorn, 90% of everything is crap. Anime is a medium, not something you're required to worship as a whole. Anyone who does is a moron.

And you still haven't read GTO, have you?
