BUTT SAVE

Post by Green Gibbon! »

Do any of you goons have completed Sonic Heroes PC save data? This is extremely serious. Children in Ethiopia could die. Seriously.

Nope... Best I've got is Sonic's up to Frog Forest. Which is to say, I barely touched it.

Who will die knowing the GHZ was once entertaining and lively and will not have to live through more.

Had to take that shot. (though the Heroes page has sucked from the beginning so ehh)

Edit: Fine, i'll shut up -_-

While i'm remembering it, there's a second requirement for getting into The Moon Zone on the Sonic table in Pinball Party. I know there is, because three or four aggravating times i've racked up 500 rings before clearing X-Zone, and every time it looped back to Neo Green Hill. But when it does, it switches the character to the next in the line, so I -guess- you need cycle through all the characters too, and have Sonic at the end. Good luck trying to test it - i've given up.

Also, a reminder for Sonic Battle: Emerl has all of his ultimate skills equipped in the final fight.

So I can continue playing Ocarina of Time or help GG! get a complete save of Sonic Heroes. What should I do? Let GG! get all 120 emblems for himself?

So, I think I found a completed save, it's called SONICHEROES_00 and doesn't have a file extension. Is this what The PC version's save files are called on your computer, GG!? It's from some Portuguese website, so I don't know if a Portuguese save will be compatible with whatever version of Sonic Heroes on your PC is, but if you want to test it out, I uploaded it here.

I know it's not what you're looking for, but I have a GC save with all the emblems. Not that I can transfer that to you...

Well the truth is that I've weaved an impossibly long and complex quantum mathematic formula that resolves the problems of 4D space, the structure of the universe, the entire history of time (which actually doesn't exist), and the ultimate theory of existence into the museum pages.

I eagerly await someone to eventually crack my code and bring universal peace and oneness to all people and things in this world and others, but I fear my riddle will keep society busy for centuries to come.

Anyway, if the writing seems to have suffered, I think it's a small price to pay in the long run.

That, or getting lost into Wikipedia.

You know, I do have a save file (which is in the format Cuckoo said, but I remember they had a .INI extension or something) with a complete story mode and almost no extra challenges... problem is, I don't remember which backup CD it was, and I have OVER 9 FUCKING THOUSAND of them, so please wait while I search for it, thx.

EDIT: OK, here you go (I hope it's the complete one, I don't want to reinstall it all over again just to know -_- ). Ethiopian kids owe me one... two with this.

Mercy bookoo. I'll let you know if it works as soon as I can figure out where the save files are stored... There's nothing by that filename and no ini files either as far as I can see...

Well... if I remember well (and take in mind that, infact, the file didn't have any extension, my memory sucks), it goes in the "\WINDOWS\Application Data\[Sega or Sonic Heroes or whatever]" subfolder, along with the setting file (which I swear was a .INI).
That is, in Windows 98 SE.

I had a complete save file (story, extras, A in everything, I guess I had no life back then) from the first time I finished the game. I may still have it in my old harddisk, but I have no idea where the file is. I remember trying to copy it, but nothing seemed to work. If you point me, I can try and dig it out for you.

According the the Portuguese website, the save file should be (for Portugal) at \Documents and Settings\<Usuário>\Dados de aplicativos\Sega\SONICHEROES\, which I believe translates to \Documents and Settings\User\Application Data\Sega\SONICHEROES\, so perhaps it's somewhere in the My Documents folder.

Before this thread falls too far into the abyss and is ejected from the collective consciousness, does anyone have a completed PC Sonic DX save data? I found one at what I assume is the same Portuguese site Cuckoo mentioned, but it doesn't have all the Emblems.

BTW, having just tested it I can tell you that it doesn't have all of the Metal Sonic emblems collected, but if its anything like the Gamecube version, you don't get anything for getting all of Metal Sonic's emblems anyway.
