Does anyone know what model Macintosh the Sonic 3 item monitor is modeled after? I'm thinking it's a Performa but I'm not quite sure which one.

No one says, but it damn well looks like it. A confirmation that it was not modeled after a Mac would be just a great for me as finding out which model.

I distinctly recall some credible source explaining that those item boxes -were- designed after Macs...was it Naka or am I losing it again?

I don't think I've ever noticed it before, but dang that does look like a Mac.

Are you going to break it for the powerup? Just make sure you make your wallpaper the powerup you want before you do.

I always thought that was a TV with a VCR in it. A TV/VCR combo.

I always thought that they were modelled on a computer monitor of sorts. I think I remember the manual calling them TV monitors but the Sonic 3/K definitely looks like a Mac of sorts.
