This is basically how I operate in day-to-day life.Zeta wrote:Also, the battles are just pointing at enemies again and again and praying for their death.
I actually knew a guy who used to write down the names of people who crossed him on little pieces of paper, fold them over, and then put them in a drawer. This, he supposed, would cause them to die. I always wanted to know how full the drawer was but I didn't wanna end up in there myself.

That is the scariest thing I've ever read.I actually knew a guy who used to write down the names of people who crossed him on little pieces of paper, fold them over, and then put them in a drawer. I own the game and have been playing it for awhile between classes and such. I was going to make a new thread titled "Mochi is Love" with some full impressions, but I suffer from procrastination disease.
I will tell you this though, it's like your average Akitoshi Kawazu game but a bit more linear and less broken. Instead of gaining levels, you build up the character, Terry, stats. For example, attacking an enemy builds up your Attack stats. Getting hit builds up your HP and Defense stats. Moving around builds up your Moving Speed stats. You get the idea.
You get various costumes that gives Terry a specialized power or job. Knuckle Mole for example gives Terry the power of Earth and he can use earth magic. Chef allows him to cook food and other recovery medicines. The thief, alows him to pick locks and so on.
You can also use decals, which are like assesories in the FF games only if peel them off after you attach them to your character, they are gone for good. You'll collect a whole bunch of these from enemies or chests and you really don't know what they are for until you peel off their adhesive to place on Terry.
The game has some odd sense of humor, despite of what the story so far is just, old-school, going to new locale to locale, collecting the gems, and beating the game. Also the game doesn't really give you heavy hints on what to do next like current RPGs so it's pretty old school there.
Personally, I though it was worth the $30 I paid for as it seems to be a decent handheld RPG and I don't mind just messing around building my stats. Though I heard the game is short--around 12 hours. Ah well.

Death Note is gay. It'd be better as a Stephen King book.Pepperidge wrote:MegaKitsune wrote:It's already a comic.Popcorn wrote:2, That would make a great book.

I haven't seen Death Note-- although Dache insists I must-- but merely writing the person's name down in order to kill them isn't quite as sinister, I think, as putting their name in a drawer. Just think of it-- an office desk full of papery gravestones.Pepperidge wrote:MegaKitsune wrote:It's already a comic.Popcorn wrote:2, That would make a great book.

actually, I randomly picked up Death Note on a romp through Barns and Nobles. The series kicks ass.Popcorn wrote:I haven't seen Death Note-- although Dache insists I must-- but merely writing the person's name down in order to kill them isn't quite as sinister, I think, as putting their name in a drawer.
