I had a full collection of Sonic biscuits, crisps and chocolate wrappers, but I canÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t remember where I have kept them.

On the front of each biscuit packet is a quarter image of one of five Sonic scenes. The reverse contains profiles for Sonic, Tails, Eggman and the robots, which are based on the Sega Europe Kintobor/Mobius story line. The multi-pack wrapper contained an additional profile for Princess Sally.

I wish I had saved a wrapper of Sonic Shock Pops. Apparently it was one of the rarest promotions out there, functioning only in the one state of Australia... It even had a fully-animated commercial to go along with it.

Somewhere, someone must have recorded that and put it on the internet. Now we just have to find it...

It was following AoSTH. To summarise, Sonic and Tails had managed to subdue Robotnik and bind him to an electric chair. They then screwed lightbulbs in his ears and shoved a Sonic Shock Pop in his mouth, electrocuting him. Scared the hell out of me when I was a kid.

The product itself was absolutely delicious. It was blue and orange, with the top half of it in a candy coating. Covering that coating was pop rocks. Ice cream nirvana.

As I remember it, it was really good until your tastebuds started to go numb from the sheer amount of awesome that you were eating.

Del, you can't be surprised at the commercials of the past. They weren't advanced like we are now. WE have boob jokes and advertisements stating the potential for heat loss within their beverages.

I have no idea, but it made me laugh more than it should have.

Seeing those wrappers brought back some memories.
