That box art takes away all my worries and troubles and replaces them with an entirely different and ultimately much more horrifying set.

So, a success then!

That box totally says "My name is Tingle and I will rape your bottom unless you give me rupees"

I'm sure that is the message Nintendo was shooting for.

What was the logic behind giving the Zelda franchise's most disliked character his own game again?

I don't know. Along the same vein, why would Hanna-Barbera continue to support the recurrance of the most annoying and redundant companion to ever grace the television screen?

Hey, don't diss Scrappy Doo; he was exactly what the group needed. Everyone else in the Mystery Machine was always running scared from every little shadow and picture with moving eyes; they needed a character who would actually stand ground and fight back.

They should have just given him chances to KO the bad guy, instead of always being carried away by Unka Scooby.

Agreed. 5 healthy teenagers and two dogs should've been more than enough to consistently take down old men in monster costumes. They should've just layed the smackdown on those morons. Scrappy had the right idea, his voice was just annoying and he looked ugly.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's because the Japanese developers are bitter about all the hate he gets from the west, so thought "Heh, let's do something hilarious and give him his own game! We'll show them!"

He was what the group needed, but too bad they often stuck him in Scooby-Doo series that had nothing to do with monster-hunting. The first season of The Scooby-Doo / Scrappy-Doo shows (the only time he was with all 5 members of the Mystery Machine) was his finest moment, as was The New Scooby-Doo / Scrappy-Doo Show, but everything else he was in just seemed to stuck. It wasn't his fault; the other series he was in were just plain bad. Scooby-Doo just wasn't a show that could be turned into 6-minute segments of doing random stuff.

I heard he appeared in the first movie- something about he being one of the reasons the group split up in the first place. Frankly, I never cared much about the character.
Now, that other white dog was completely pointless.

Scooby Dumb, yes. Scooby Doo is already a moron. A dumber version is just sad.

And in the first movie, Scrappy wanted to sacrifice Scooby Doo to Satan to conquer the world with an army of demons and bloodthristy zombies.

Ah, yes. The one redeeming portion of Scrappy Doo's existance.

Because he is actually popular in Japan.

Also the hell with the ultra Scrappy-Doo. I chuckled when Avenger scooped that Gary Stu-Doo in his talons in that Scooby-Doo episode of Harvey Birdman:Attorney at Law.

Just jumping back to the "promotional artwork," did anyone else notice what looked like the blue duck in Dynamite Dux? I can't remember his name...

I'm pretty sure it's because he's a sataristic character they use to poke fun at Otaku. Once I figured that out I liked him a lot more too.

And hey, as annoying as Scrappy Doo was at least he didn't bore the crap out of me like everyone else in the show (besides Shaggy and Scooby) did. In fact, I liked those movies where Shaa-gee got turned into a werewolf and the trio of Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy helped run a Ghoul School. They cut all the fat and just focused on the entertaining characters.

Whoa, is this true? If so, then I might actually like Tingle.

Same here! I had no idea an awkward man in green tights could be a running social commentary.

And what was the name of the white dog in Scooby Doo that only showed up in that 13 Ghosts series?

And he appeared on The Scooby-Doo Show, as well as Scooby's All-Star Laff-a-Lympics. Egad, why do I know this stuff??

A curse, a horrible, horrible curse!

Tingle being a piss-take of a Japanophile sounds pretty gravy with me. It's still no excuse for him looking camper-than-Christmas though.

How else were they going to make a middle aged 35 year old guy obsessed with fairies look like? Big, fat, balding with nacho stained shirts and glasses was clearly overrated for the designers.
