Fuck YES. Maybe we'll get some online action this time.
Also, Bowser Jr. as a playable character? For those who hate him (I'm indifferent), there's still the compensation of beating his ass with Snake.

He's not badass enough.
Also, if they have to axe some original characters, at least this means Melee will still have some replay value.

Apparently the news was fake.

Personally I want Donkey Kong Junior to be playable. He's important and stuff.

In other Nintendo game news it seems that the Tingle DS game is still on the way. I thought I heard somewhere that they'd cancelled it. Obviously I heard wrong. Apparently it's now called something like "Freshly Picked Tingle's Pink Colored Happy Land". It just looks bizarre!

I have no idea, but it's turning me on and I'm scared of it. So it must be bad.

I have a feeling that Freshly Picked Tingle's Pink Colored Happy Land could be one of the most awesome games Nintendo have released.

Hell, the name is already a winner! XD

I can't believe it took 7 years to make Pokemon not look like ass in 3-D. It boggles my mind.

And second Crazy Penguin's opinion on bringing in Donkey Kong Jr. I'd rather have him than the hideous ape Rare turned him into in 1994.

Really? I thought that Rare's design for DK was a strong one. As for Junior, I remember this rather amusing comment from somewhere:
I need to stop and think about that for a moment. What the FUCK is so good about DK Jr?! He has no personality! He looks like an idiot! And he wears a fucking leotard for crying out loud! Where is the appeal for this character?! At least when he grows up he loses the women's clothing and gets that snazzy tie.

This has yet to be trumped as the definitive Donkey Kong.

The best thing about this cover is that you can't find Mario angrier anywhere that isn't fanart/fiction.

It's actually Rupee Land, not Happy Land. Easy mistake since the "ru" character in the logo sort of resembles a "ha."

I also recently heard that the in the title it should be Rose-colored, not pink-colored, which makes more sense seing that the title design contains roses.

I don't know 'bout that.

I like this version of Peach (is she called that here, or does she have a different name?).

That's Pauline, the original damsel in distress Mario had to rescue in Donkey Kong. She's actually making a return appearance in the upcoming Mario Vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis for the DS.

Here's the opening movie, for anyone who's interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZToY44X ... ch%20minis

Glad they kept Pauline's 1994 design, I like the early 20th century movie star look.

That actually looked pretty decent, considering the ugly CG in New Super Mario Bros. The first Mario vs. Donkey Kong game was decent, so I hope for refined gameplay all around.

Who was it at Nintendo that decided it would be a good idea to have all the Toads sound like retarded old ladies with throat cancer?

That is pretty much how he sounded in the original US cartoon - annoyingly highly pitched, gravely-voiced, boot licker.
