YU2 was the name Yuji Naka used in the original Sonic the Hedgehog game, as he couldn't used his real name. "Staring at the Sun" is the name of a U2 song. Why on Earth it's being referenced is beyond me.

The extra-extra long E3 trailer turned up on gametrailers.com:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player.php? ... v&id=10932

It looks somewhat l33t.

I can't download it from the SEGA site. Is it possible to download a file with this protocol?

The lyrics said "I'm not the only one, staring at the sun..." and so on.

You all, have some musical culture, could ya?

Tomorrow, not that it really matters. Pop's generally stopped bitching, and nobody seemed to really miss that aspect of my posting, so unless I'm directly addressed in that line of questioning, any and all musical references will be much more subdued and much less frequent.

Back on topic, why couldn't Naka use his own name?

I found these, I dont know if you saw em, but you can hear the music..sort of.

It sounds like PSO type Music which is basicaly good bacause Sonic also had PSO type Music sometimes like in Sonic CD ,SA2.

Techno-orchestral vibe is what Im getting which is good.

Also, you can see the useless Bounce attack in this video.

Green Gibbon! wrote:In the 80's, most game companies forbade designers from using their real names in reference to their work, ostensibly to stifle name recognition and thus prevent rival companies from luring away each other's top talent. I don't know what Sega's policy on this was at the time of Sonic 1's release, but I would speculate that management was unaware of the code.

A direct download doesn't work for me, and neither does trying to save it in Windows Media Player or Media Player Classic...so I'm guessing "no".

With any luck, someone might post it on the Sonic torrent site, Sonic on the.NET (http://www.soniconthe.net)...but the site crashed recently, and it'll be a couple of days (at best) before the torrents are reactivated...

OK. Done.

Sonic's gameplay looks more interesting and less flawed, IMHO.
Also, isn't there any .AVI or .WMV that has the animation of the American SONIC the Hedgehog Flash mini site?
This one:

Knowing you all, thanks in advance.

Do you think they'll leave the Day-Sunset-Night shift feature in this game?

I do. Actually what I'm expecting out of this' that it would be something like Brave Fencer Musashi-den system, only greatly evolved. Does the Shenmue games have this feature (I didn't play them)?

Yes, a Minute = an Hour in the game..So if you waited 20 Minutes, it would be dark.

That game was so real you felt you were still in the game when you stopped playing.

I really haven't seen as much footage as I'd like to (poor connection and whatnot...), but it could very well just be some kind of projectile from an enemy off screen.

I hope so. And we could eat the animals ala "Happy Tree Friends"...
