FF13 involves high school kids? =(

I see he moved from zippers to hooks and the red capes with the uniforms looks stupid.

Final Fantasy VIII's cast were mostly high-schoolers, too (or of high-school age). So it's not the first time they've done this even in Final Fantasy.

Those character designs look very similar to the ones in that Final Fantasy VII cell phone game. I'd say it's an improvement over the Kingdom Hearts 2 zipper parade, though that wouldn't be hard to top.

That may be true, but I, for one, really hate plaid, and while he has done away with the zippers, there are still plenty of belts. Also, there in the left corner, do I see a manly woman? There's a first.

Somehow I'm reminded of Scotland.

For the record, I love plaid. Well, sometimes.

Actually, I perfer KH2's outfit over FF13's, but I pretty much adored everyone's clothes there. FF13 still isn't as disasterous as FF10's wardrobe of colorful, fugly mess so far, but I could do without the damn red capes and some of the buckles on the front.

Yeah, I remember FFVIII's cast, but that doesn't mean I'm fond of it.

There're so many anime cliches in there it's almost original on itself... and it seems FF "agito" XIII takes place in a super-heroic Scotland.

Awesome, the only thing that sets the characters apart now is their hair, which isn't exactly distinguishing, anyway. I saw the image only a few minutes ago, and I can only recall about two of the characters. Then again, there only seemed to be about 3 central characters, with each other character stemming from one of those 3 genera, but drawn facing a different angle with a minute accessory tacked on. High hopes abound for this game.

The Cast of Agito 13 looks like the Orginazation 13 reincarnated into playable characters, with some loosing their penises.

I pretty much doubt myself they had any penises in the first place. But yes, it seems.

Well hey, I reacted the same way to FFVIII at first.

FF8's character designs are fairly original, easily distinguished and the best in the series, at least, as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, FFVIII designs are interesting without being too outlandish compared to all the stuff he worked on later.

FFVIII also had the only male lead by Nomura who didn't have spiky hair or ugly pants or zippers or other crap. I still didn't like the designs as much as FFVII, though..almost no age difference between the entire cast kinda bored me, considering my favorite FF characters are the older characters such as Cid and Auron. The older games also had everything from talking cats to mages to ninjas.

I thought the supporting cast had interesting enough personalities, but it was ultimately irrelevant since they decided to devote ninety percent of the character interaction to just Squall and Rinoa.

Irvine was the only one who got any screentime at all aside from Squall and Rinoa, and that still wasn't much. He was a lot more interesting than the boring, unlikable Squall. In fact, except for Selphie, I thought that the supporting cast had a lot more personality than Squall.

I thought Squall was more of an idiot then boring, at least when it came to his romance with Rinoa.

That said, I agree with Kishi. Squall and Rinoa were pretty much the only characters who developed. The rest pretty much stayed the same with little to no character development to which I'm very little surprised. I always thought FF8 had the crappiest story of the FF games I've played.

Agreed, and if the FF main characters were to be woman-charming right off the hand, the games won't last more then 3 hours (with 2 and a half hours of final boss battling CG movies).

I thought that Irvine was wearing a sports bra for the first half of the game.

I'm not trying to imply anything, just throwing the thought out there...

Mantastic.

Threads like these always leave me wondering why any of you even play Final Fantasy games in the first place.

No matter how many times that the 'reluctant hero with belts' angle is tossed my way, I will always go back for a second helping.

Always.

What is FF13 Agito? a side story? because what I knew was that FF13 was about a futuristic girl and some guy with black clothes red eyes and lotsa swords.

That guy has leg hair, and therefore is ten times more manly than Tidus.
