They sure all sound humanoid, so I don't think so.

I thought they were called halflings because they were half the size of a normal person.

Yeah, but they are dwarves, not halflings.

[beardmode] Dwarves are stockier and come up with cool technology, halfings are little people with big feet and live in little villaiges. [/beardmode]

Okay you have the following:

Human
Elf
Dwarf
Gnome
Halfling
Half-Elf

Humans and Elves are the only two species that can mate. Well actually there are also Half-Orcs and Half-Ogres but those are generally not used. Now in Tolkien's world there are not Half-Elves. If you have any Elven blood then you are an Elf. In D&D if your "Elf" has any human blood, no matter how small a trace, then he is a Half-Elf. A Half-Elf breeding with an Elf yields a Half-Elf. I suppose technically if by some bizare chance the offspring recieved only the Elven genetic material from the Half-Elf parent he could technically be a full Elf, but that's not really very likely.

"Pixies" are in the Monstrous Manual, I believe, but I'm not sure what "little people" are.

I'm guessing "little people" is an alias for sprites in general.

Would half-elves prefer the M16 or the AK-47?

Probably the composite longbow, though if he had to use a firearm then perhaps an arquebus.

As for Jak? I don't know what that stupid looking weapon is that he is holding.

It's not a real gun. It's called a "morph gun" where it can morph (kinda like a Transformers toy) into four different kinds of guns. I like Jak II, but I STILL can't see Jak with a gun. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the first game...

It's always amusing when characters who would never use a gun use one. It really is.

I think it worked with Gamma, though truth be told I was always disturbed when Eggman held a gun to Amy towards the end of SA2.

Guns mounted to mechs don't count.

It wasn't a gun mounted to a mech. It was some sort of rifle he was pointing to her head with.
