I give this site a few more months, tops, before this link gets spread around enough that publishers take notice, or these folks get sick of spending thousands to cover bandwidth charges. See: Gamingforce.

That's why I've been keeping it to myself.

After all, it's not like there's a link right there on every page that says "please tell your friends" or something. What's that about eh?

This is true for me too. It figures that my computer is down (I've been leeching off other people's computers for about two months now. It sucks.)

I never said <i>they</i> don't want it spread around. I've very selfish and want to keep it all to myself.

Returns after further inspection of the site.

I couldn't help but notice that, for a website entitled "FFShrine," there were no FF soundtracks. I've got the ones from VI-X, but I'm looking for I-IV. Not only that, but their Sonic collection was short S3+K and the Genesis 3D Blast, which I thought had a better soundtrack. The Mario and Megaman collections were similarly short, and there was no Ristar...

But it's still worth it. Time to fill up my friends' hard drives with music^^

I don't have enough time to download all of the SO stuff that I want... Could somebody be a dear and put it all in a .zip file for me?

And I never realized how complicated the bassline to Stab the Sword of Justice was.

Space Channel 5's here. Praise ye. I thought I'd never get my hands on that one.

And uh... Sonic Team Live Unplugged? What inspired that?

And whose idea was it to have a chick sing Sonic Heroes' title track as a lounge number? Come on!

Ah yes. I found this link a couple weeks ago and nabbed a couple dozen tracks. (Snake eater theme, a few songs from Twisted Metal 2, the Vectorman remix CD, the remastered TJnE theme, some Outrun 2 songs, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat music, etc.)

Yea, found this a while back, too. And since I can't easily buy those Japan-only game soundtracks, I just nab them there.

Listening to the Katamari Damacy soundtrack is making me even more furious the game is never coming to Europe.

Fuck the sequel, I want the original first.

I've heard the Ys series has some great music, but are the games any good? I've never tried them.

Also, I checked ou the art books section and checked out the Kingdom Hearts artbook. I was really hoping for some <i>illustrated</i> images of Disney characters, but they only had illustrated Final Fantasy characters, which can be found commonly on the 'net.

Oh well.

That's pretty good site, although they don't have the really rare stuff I've been looking for. Body Count, Lunacy, Panzer Dragoon II,...

Kurt Kalata has you <a href="http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/ ... covered</a>.

I haven't listened to too much Ys music, but from what I have heard, I don't see what the big fuss is about. I guess it's one of those things where you have to hear the songs in the context of the games to appreciate them.

Hey, thanks a lot! Where did you find those files? I was just considering to manually record them from the television with my MP3 player plugged in.

Well, I've got them on a site similar to the one featured in this thread years ago. I made a personal audio CD from the PDZ mp3s thought I'm not sured if the labels I gave them are the correct titles. *shrugs*

Here's the download, BTW: http://www.transferbigfiles.com/Downloa ... 8232049632

Unfortunately, I'm not really the best person to answer this question as I've only played two Ys games: Ys III and the current Ys VI. I've forgotten mostly everything about Ys III since I haven't played that game since over a decade ago and many fans claim that it is one of the weakest entries of the series. Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim for the PS2 I can tell you about since I've played and beaten that game about a month ago.

Basically, Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim seems like your average hack-n-slash Action RPG. The controls are fine for the most part except for one little move: the dash jump which is frustrating to master(I never really did =P). You do recieve three magic elemental swords that either specialize in slashing, stabbing, or both in a certain number of combos. You can also upgrade making them stronger and to unlock their magical powers.

The story isn't exactly shaking-in-your-boots-groundbreaking but I get the feeling that it doesn't need to be in this franchise. The English dub is AWFUL and the CGI cutscenes are...meh, which is why I switched to the Japanese PC mode complete with anime-ish cutscenes using a special code which is one of the secrets available in the PS2 version of the game.

The game is pretty short with three difficulty level settings. Most of the time I was trying to extend my playing time trying to find all the extra "tough" bosses and completing the Alma's Trials(they are not really tough). I think I missed one extra boss because it required that tricky dash jump maneuver to get to. =P There are plenty of secrets for some replay value such as unlocking Nightmare mode after beating the game which is basically the toughest difficulty level and entering certain special codes such as the one of playing game with Japanese voices with English subs, granting you fully upgraded swords, discounts in stores, starting the game at a certain level, etc.

I would call it a 7/10 game and probably worth owning if you can find it for $20 if you are hungering for decent Action RPG until, Children of Mana, Kingdom Hearts II, and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess comes out. Also, I think the game is being ported to the PSP but I don't really know the differences between that and its older PS2 brother.
