Lucy the Hedgehog

Post by Zeta »

I just had this incredibly vivid dream where Sonic Team TOTALLY lost it and redesigned the next Sonic game to stare Lucille Ball's image. She was in black and white while the rest of the world was vividly colored and designed indentically to Sonic 1. She ran around at high speeds beating up robots and then used the animals inside to give her super powers. She was on a quest to save Ethel from the TV show.

The second level was a redesign of Wacky Workbench, only with chocolate conveyor belts. When she ran fast enough, she activated a special attack that summoned Fonzie from Happy Days and the Brady Bunch to beat up all the enemies on screen.

Is there something wrong with me?

Yes, but that has nothing to do with your little dream here.

If you think that's bad, last night I dreamed the Atlanta Braves came over to my house, and I was frantically searching for something to get signed. Then I dreamed some chick in a Wal-Mart parking lot threw a Volkswagen Bus at me. It's gotta be the white trash moonshine, also known as Nyquil.

Man, one time I dreamt I was a Splinter Cell agent, on a mission to take out Regis and Kathy Lee who were suposedly laundering money and shipping it off to Germany where a wealthy insurance agency was just a front for a narcotics farm. I was dropped onto the TV studio roof from a stealth bomber, and I made my way into the ventilation shafts. I switched into the NV and using the map on my Apple Newton (yeah, it was crazy) I found the vent above the demon hosts.

I was contacted on my communicator that the bomber I was in earlier had dropped an EMP crate near the sattelites, and I could detonate it with the code "Nitro". I waited until Regis got over his own voice and went to a commercial, and then I bent my headset closer to my lips, and whispered "Nitro". Suddenly, sirens sounded, and the vent shaft fell from my feet. Using fox-like agility, I landed on my feet, but I was surrounded by the enemy!

Regis piped up in his annoying little voice "Haha, look at this America! This gullible fool actuallybelieved the government was on his side! This is a new high for TV; an actual death!"

I remembered my weapons, I had a slienced Glock18 with a laser sight. I drew it out, and shouted 'Yeah, motherfucker, it's going to be your death!"

I filled Regis and his cohorts with some 9MM Parabellum, and I rushed to the doors, but they were locked.

I heard a chirp from my communicator, and it was my former "boss". He told me that he was froced by KFC to give me the false mission, that he was sorry, and if I hurried, I could still get the hell out before the building imploded.

Then the comunicator started playing Particle Man by They Might Be Giants, and I woke up.

It was a crappy dream...probably fueled by Mexican food and my friend bringing his XBOX over, and the crappy TV shows we had to watch the day before in school at the end of first period...

One time I dreamt I was skinny, popular, and not a virgin.

And you think ZETA'S high.

To be honest, I'd rather play the game in Zeta's dream than Sonic Team's latest wonders (barring Rush).

If you're really fat, my boyfriend might be able to help you out with that last part.

I had a dream about the Shadow game a few months back, except it had nothing to do with the game. And Shadow was pink. And female. Anyway, it took place in a free-roaming urban environment not unlike a more sombre version of GTA, and it was a constant twilight.

Shadow was friends with some type of (human) detective to learn the full truth about her past. She also had a mutual understanding between her and another military experiment (basically a human with enhanced abilities) despite the fact that his mission is to bring her down. Near the end of the dream there was a sort of level select screen, showing off environments like ancient ruins and an Eggman base.

It was, uh, an interesting dream.

Two nights ago I dreamt up the most awesome version of Sonic Fighters. It started off as a normal fight, me as Amy vs Nack (I always play as Amy, she's awesome) on South Island. When I beat him I ran out to this big chao head in the water with eyes that spun like a slot machine and discovered that I could stop them to recover rings, items, and limbs my other characters had lost (yeah apparently that happens in this version). When I went back into the fighting ring a pair of ramps had appeared, and I ran off one along a line of rings into the next area, which was a short platform section with a boss, a big robot built into the cliffside. I went back to the fighting ring, but i woke up before I could take the other ramp.

The real game just feels so shallow ever since, dammit.

This is kinda funny, as last night I dreamt I was playing NiGHTS on the Nintendo Revolution. It was all from a first person perspective, and you'd point the controller where you wanted to go, and to do a drill dash you just whirred the controller about in your hand in circular motions. I remember hitting a hollow with that and watching it spin off.

The controller also had really strong gyroscopes inside so the controller was actually pushing my hands upward as I played when one of those gusts of wind pushed up from underneath me.

All this talk of dreams must have inspired me, because I had a vivid one last night. I was going about my daily routine, and noticed the skin on my right hand was chaffing. Eventually, the chaffing got so bad that it broke through the skin and I could see the bone. Except, I quickly realized, it wasn't bone, but metal! Peeling away the rest of the skin revealed a cybernetic arm that went up to my elbow. It was cool because the fingers were so detailed, like Luke's hand in Star Wars V, and the forearm had compartments and slots for computer chips.
I confronted my parents about it and they explained that they had replaced my arms as a child because of some horrible allergic reactions I was having to the environment. This was odd, but I didn't care because the arms (yes, my other was cybernetic too) were SO COOL. The dream ended with me eating french fries.

OK, tonight I had a dream that George Lucas went back and re-edited the Star Wars PREQUELS with extra scenes explaining that Anakin's force powers came from him being half space-scorpion, and that had not Ben burned his flesh off - he would've slowly turned into a gigantic space scorpion himself over time. He illustrated this by changing Revenge of the Sith so that Anakin had a pointed tail, his skin turned milky yellow, and his eyes started to glow.

He then continued to expand on the idea of giant space scorpions, essentially making them analagous to the Star Wars universe's version of Lovecraftian horrors. Then he went back to the first three films and randomly added anthropomorphic space scorpion centaurs to the background of everything to "tie it all together".
