I had no idea Howard Drossin was so young. I guess it was because of his name, but I always envisioned him as some grizzled old John Williamsesque dude.
I tried to download it last night, figuring I could leave the PC on while I slept. I woke up at 8am this morning to a cheery message along the lines of UR DOWNLOAD STOPPED LOLZ. Gah. At least GetRight is still my friend.
On the whole, I wasn't that impressed. It was cool to see some of the creative minds behind the games, the concept art and so on, and Howard Drossin could really wail (although I would have loved him to shred a Mushroom Hill solo on that Gibson he had), but everything else just seemed like something that would have got me excited if it was, say, 1994.
Two things really stuck in my mind though... one was that the chick presenter was hot, and the other was that crazy guy with the beard and ponytail taking Bill Bellamy on a tour of the prison. What the hell was up with that fucking guy? He was nuts.
Tiara. I have gotten tired of Amy's ditzy, insane, Sonic-obsessed antics. It was alright when she looked younger and was nicknamed Rosy The Rascal, back when Sonic's world felt a lot more fun and lightweight. Now I just want the bitch to die.
Tiara on the other hand looks like she has a lot of attitude, and doesn't seem to be the superficial bubbly type that Amy is.
Amy's equally generic in a more Japanese fashion, but Tiara's archetype I find more tolerable and even enjoyable. If Tiara was simply an incidental character that didn't appear every other game, I think it would have worked out okay.
I don't know, I'd prefer Amy. From what I've heard, Tiara would've been more of the "hey, I'm a girl and I kick butt, too. Look at me breaking stereotypes" sort of thing, which I'm sick of seeing, especially in cartoons.
