Update: I didn't think this would work, but I converted DivX to DivX, and the 1st file is down to 49MB. But it has just a little less quality than the WMVs. I think that's just about as low as I can get it, I tried converting it again, and it came out bigger, weird. Anyways, It's still too big to upload so, again, if you want it in DivX, cantact me through AIM or MSN. Now, I'm going to work on the 3rd video, then I'll do the converting..

When I download part 2 I only get 17mb of it, and it seems to cut off somewhere in the middle. Are you sure you uploaded all of it?

What the hell? Good catch, I didn't notice that (Damn FTP).
Try it again in about a half-hour, thanks.

Try lowering the audio quality. That usually helps a lot. (Audio -> Full Processing Mode, then Audio -> Compression. I reccomend MP3 compression)

Crap, Crap, CRAP!¡! Well, I finished the last video awhile ago, but now just about everything that could go wrong is happening. Webspace, that's why the entire file for part 2 didn't upload. So I cleared out a bunch of space, and I might just barely be able to upload them now. Then, when I upload them, halfway through the transfer, my DSL connection gets lost...
So, now I'm still uploading, and lets just hope everything goes according to plan..
Again, If someone could mirror these, that would be so kickass, just get to me through AIM or MSN.
I'm trying my best guys..

Aside from my reservations on the G4 + TechTV combo, these files are nifty. Might not be the best quality or size, but, hell, I haven't seen them before now, so it doesn't matter much. Thanks just the same.

That third file doesn't work for me, at all. Keeps saying the file's corrupted.

Well, what did y'all think of the video? Did it change views on anything, learn anything new? What?

I learned that TechTV/G4 is even dumber than I thought they were. :) Their interviewees seem alright, but overall the way this is put together kind of suggests that the people behind it really didn't have a clue. In the first video they seem to almost suggest that Mario debuted on the SNES, and later they say that the Saturn was Sega's answer to the N64 and Mario64, when the Saturn was the first console out of the gate in the first place.

I liked hearing from the guy on the Sonic 2 staff in particular, Tim Skelly. I was always struck by the fact that Sonic 2 (and 3, and Knuckles..) had a different look (and feel..) from the Japanese-developed ones (you even get this in SA2 compared to SA1..), but it's still pretty impressive that they managed to keep it as close as they did, especially when you consider what other western efforts with Sonic were like, like the comics and cartoons. I don't know if I ever really thought of what an art director's job was prior to seeing this guy, and it has less to do with his own style, more of a professional attitude about keeping it true to the source. Why couldn't they have this guy (or someone like him) keeping the other productions in line?

Actually, G4 made that episode alone with no thanks to TechTV, heheh. But TechTV is still dumber.

I wouldn't say I really learned anything new or that it changed my perspective on things, but that was pretty interesting to watch. While this was a tribute of sorts to Sonic, it would have helped if that had make some vague mention that almost every game after the original PSO has been, well, terrible.

I do like what that one guy said about the original PSO, though.

'It was addictive. It was crack."

Let's hope we don't have to see Sonic going through puberty in his games...

I don't know if any of you care much about SNK, but here's the recent Icons show for them.

Low Quality(320x240) 40mb. Windows Media Video

High Quality(512x384) 153mb. DivX
