Help me be a better Member, please- A call for helpful hints

Look, I know I've irked a bunch of people here, but I'd like that to change. So I was hoping you all could give me some constructive criticism as to how to stop aggravating you all. The reason I've stayed at this message board is because I like the witty, quasi-Bohemian feel of it, and I aspire to get along with you all. Now I know that while both Del and Baba, as well as others, presumably, have "Ignored" me, I remeber Del once giving me advice on women ("Just be yourself"), and Baba once told me in a GHZ Chat the he doesn't hate me, so I know I'm not too far gone. I mean, I've already stopped hammering out whatever incendiary thing comes to mind, I'm putting in fewer needless spaces, and I"m no longer telling you all when I edit my posts (which, incidentally, I don't do nearly as often as I used to).

In real life, I'm known as a talented, intelligent writer with a a sense of sharp wit. Unfortunately, I don't think that's shone through here at all. I also know I've been prone to whine ad naseum, which was primarily due to two things: A.) personal reasons I'm not going to get into (family stuff), and B.) I was feeling guilty as all get out about flaming Del. Well, I'm putting that all behind me, because I know that I'm actually a pretty decent guy, as stated earlier.

So I'm already sure of the following things:
1.) No wasted space.
2.) More meaningful posts.
3.) Wittiness is good, whininess is bad
4.) Shorter posts (I'll try next time, honest

)
5.) Don't be super nice, but don't be a jerk, either

So I'm asking you all to help me out with this list, as I plan to have it handy whenever I post so as not to infuriate you all. Del, if you're reading this, I'm really hoping to earn your respect, or at least your tolerance, as I would like you to critique some of my written works before I try to have them published. Also, Baba, I want the same of you so I can have your input for music selections; I'm trying out for some jobs soon, and I need some C.D.s to spend my hard-earned cash on.

Now as stated earlier, I want helpful responses, not flames; while telling someone to engage in coital relations with themselves can be fun, it won't help this situation, now will it?

That actually made me grin.

But like everyone said, and as you've been told before, the beauty of this place is that nobody cares what anyone else thinks. You must've noticed by now that every topic ends up with some kind of scathing or sarcastic remark. You won't find friends here, or even acknowledgement, so stop looking.

It's kind of a Catch 22, isn't it! The only way to make people like you is to not worry if people like you. In other words, people will only like you when you don't care if they do. Raw deal!
