I don't know! It's meant to be an homage. I'll check with Tycho and make sure he's down with it, but I wanted to surprise him with it.

Gabe and Tycho seem like some of the least likely people to sue you for paying homage to one of their more rediculous characters.

It's true! But you've got to watch out for The Khoo. The Khoo is like an unstopable force of economic justice. I know. I met him.

He is one thousand feet tall.

I'm upset I had no room for Beedle and Old Man Ho, but I'm glad I manage to put in Salvatore, that dude is awesome. Inspired by a small, unimportant mini-quest in Wind Waker.

I love your massive pictures with multipe characters Neo, like your "Where's Waldo" one on dA, that kicked ass.

You mean the one with my character (that wolf anthro amongst random crap and a blue BG?). Originally, I wasn't gonna make it all Where's Waldo, but I was all screw that and decided to add some interactivity.

I like to think that whole "put many characters in one pic" is my specialty, but I'm trying to move away from that briefly. Unfortunately, my artist block won't let me think of anything.

Anyways, art time! I got bored, so pardon the sketchy-ness n' stuff.

Something I sketched a few days ago. For the people who played Gitaroo Man(all three of you). A bit messy, but the game artwork was messy looking so I guess it fits.

Image

Drew this as a gift for my Irish friend. Needless to say, she loved it.

Now that I look at it again, I find the lack of E in "Potatos" most disturbing.

Gitaroo Man was an awesome game, and while my friend has it, I regret not able to buy it sooner, so it's hard to find.

Don't blame yourself for not buying the game. Blame Koei for not making enough copies of it;P

I have more to show, so close your eyes if you want to save them from the pain.

These next 4 images are from an old project of mine that I will hopefully go back and finish. For the non-boring version of this post, please click on the images and ignore what I say.

Image
Yep, it involves/involved Sonic's band. I always liked these guys but I felt they needed a bit more personality, so I redesigned them a bit. First up is Max, who, in my mind, seemed like an overenergetic American Punk Rock kinda guy and I drew him as such(heck his name even screams it...y'know "TO THE MAX!!!!" ect.). His head is not quite the same shape as before and he's even taller than he was, but overall his body structure is the same. BTW that thing on his necklace is supposed to be a banana, not a creasent moon or something.

Image
Next up is Sharps. Sharps is awesome, so he didn't need much changing. I just made his hair a bit bigger, changed his shoes so they didn't look like Sonic's, gave him a couple shoulder pads and bada-bing bada-boom, done. I saw him as a deep voiced guy who liked heavy metal. I'm hoping that showed through.

Image
Lastly we have Mach. Of the three of them, he definatly needed the most change. It took me a while to think of a good personality for him but I finally settled on "moody professional-type british rocker". I know that isn't the most fitting thing for a drummer, but the "wild and crazy" Animal-ish thing seemed like a lame/easy way to go. Besides, the band already has 3 farily energized members(Sonic, Max, and Vector), it didn't need another.

Despite my better judgement, I kept him pink. It felt wrong to take that away from him for some reason. I gave him the sunglasses and leather jacket to show he tries to look as badass as possible. The red dye on his ears was kind of an afterthought, but I think it looks cool.

Image
I used Vector's Heroes design but didn't really make any changes to him. I did give him an awesome electric piano/turntable though.

So why did I post all this? Because I made a craptacular sketch of the whole band last night when I couldn't go to sleep.
Image
Crud I forgot to draw Mach's feet.... then again, there's never been an official picture of him without the drums in front, so maybe he doesn't have feet?

If you draw these versions of Mach, Max, and Sharps, a mention of me in the comments or something would be nice. Not a big thing, I'm just rather proud of these and would like some credit given where credit's due.

Pardon my 2nd art posting being so soon. I'll like... wait a while before I post more^^;;

Dash, something you might want to consider is cleaning up your linework a bit more. Sometimes it really detracts from the picture to see all these stray lines all over the place.

Yeah, I know. My messy linework is just an old habit I need to stray away from. I've tried a few times but I always seem to settle back in to it.

Anyone have a suggestion for good erasers? Mine really bite.

Well, it may just be me, but I always get my erasers from a Korean import store and I find it far more effective then them normal pink ones you see in Staples.

I use two; a Pentel ClicStick and a Staedler Mars plastic. Both are good; the stick eraser gets the tight in areas and the Mars plastic gets wide areas.
