I missed seeing Man-Faye the last time I went to AX, and I think I need to see him in person just once. I think the sight of his hairy man-ass will re-invigorate my heterosexuality.
Oh yeah, Pep-- I finally managed to pick up a copy of Shojo Beat, and I have to say, it's the girliest thing I've ever bought. Romantic Japanese comics + fashion tips = one incredibly awkward exchange at the checkout counter. The clerk usually looks at me weird when I buy Fruits Basket or Kare Kano, but when I brought Shojo Beat up to the counter (complete with its big ad for make-up on the back cover), he had a look of pure, genuine fear in his face.
Anyway, Shojo Beat is pretty nice, but the manga in it is pretty hit or miss-- Nana, despite all it's critical praise, is pretty stupid and the storyline is all over the place. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Yuu Watase's Absolute Boyfriend is pretty funny, if a little cliched at times.

It's not just crossdressing cosplay, it's MAN FAYE. Heck, he even has a <A HREF="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Man-Faye" target="_blank">Wikipedia entry</A>.
