A while back, Sonic Dimension (http://www.tastescity.com/sonicdimension/) had the text from the story sections of every Sonic manual online. But since the site changed servers a year or two ago, they aren't there anymore. There's a "game data" section that I assume is intended to house them, but as of now none of those links work.
I'm wondering if anyone may have had the foresight to save the original HTML files with the story data? Of course I have scans of most of the manuals, but in most cases the text is really small, blurry, and difficult to read. Plus it's altogether easier if I can just copy & paste a kanji I don't understand into a translation engine.
So, does anyone happen to have those? Or was everyone like me, kept passing over them thinking, "I need to save these soon" and then never did it?

This doesn't look very promising, but I don't really know what I'm looking for: <a href="http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www ... .org</a>'s cache.
Any idea what the old address was when they changed servers?

I only saved the text for the 5 stories that haven't yet been translated.
You can find them here.
The above file also includes the Metal Sonic MKII profile (copied directly from the Chaotix manual), which came from another Japanese Sonic website.
Has anyone been able to translate the MKII profile? It confirms that Metal Sonic was rebuilt after Sonic's last battle (which I assume refers to Sonic CD). It also mentions something about a 'plastic' or pulse object and a dark ring power that doesn't translate too clearly.

I'm surprised it has been blocked, as I obtained the above text from archive.org.According to the site you linked, the old Sonic Dimension is (or was) blocked by a robots.txt file, so it isn't archived. Damn that picky Bulk.

It was a few months ago.Green Gibbon! wrote: When were you able to do that?
I think the Robot.txt message is an error on archive.org's part. The original .txt file can't be accessed in the archive and Bulk's current site doesn't haven't a robot block, which makes it odd that his old one would.
Anyway, I have posted a request for the stories on his message board. ^_^
