Hey, is Buttercup about to have a meeting with Popcorn's mum or something?

Hmm, just realized something about their weapons.

Buttercup's hammer looks very similar to Amy's Piko Piko hammer.
Blossom's Yo-Yo ala Ness.

Buttercup's was more obvious, though.

The huge novelty hammer thing is commonplace in Japanese cartoons and comics, Skuld in Ah! My Goddess for example.

As for Buttercup's other item, well...

What's funny is before he made that outburst in his second post, it seemed like he was on his way to redemption. Oh well.

Ho ho ho.

Normally I don't encourage arguing with morons, but with Final Cosmos it produces such entertaining results, so go ahead.

Powerpuff Girls anime? Wasn't the original supposed to be a kind of parody on anime anyway? This is going to be weird. I hope they keep the original actors when they do the inevitable localisation.

I believe that Craig McCracken said in a interview that the inspiration for the PPG came from cartoons that were created in 50's and 60's such as Underdog.

And about this anime, the people who worked on Fullmetal Alchemist and Ojamajo Doremi are working on this so it could have some potential to be enjoyable.

Its real.

Toei is collaborating with Cartoon Network on working on a PPG anime it seems. Ojamajo Doremi's producer Seki Hiromi is working on this series along with Katsumata Hideo from Aniplex who was in charge of Full Metal Alchemist.

This was posted on April SECOND in Japan, not first.

From what everyones saying its listed under IGPX which is also airing in Cartoon Network Japan. Words are this sucker is not a hoax. Time Warner DID make an announcement a while back that they were interested in producing anime.

Also - Sam Register: Teen Titans and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi is credited with this.

Like others pointed out on Toonzone, I too wonder how Craig McCracken feels about this. With Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends going full steam I'd imagine that he wasn't in a position to micro-manage this series this time around (even seasons 5 & 6 - while not considered the best by PPG fans because of the lack of McCracken - the episodes were heavily influenced by Craig according to himself) so I'd imagine it's gotta be interesting for him to let go and let someone else have at it.

And heaven help me - with a cross between the teams of Ojamajo Doremi and Fullmetal Alchemist, this actually has the slight potential to be fairly decent. :P

I wonder how the villains will look in this . Mojo should look cool but I have my hopes up for the "Gangreen Gang" and the "Amoeba Boys".
(Could lead to anime Dexters Lab, or Justice Heroes!)

Oh, and F.C.T.U., don't you ever READ the rules for forums? The FAQ clearly shows-
-What douching is and it's purpose
-Why you get douched
-How you get douched
-How to redeem yourself

Shit man, it was the first thing I read when I signed up!

You should see Red Dwarf's Toastie Toaster, I think there is indeed a link between F.C.T.U and these machines.

Maybe Seduca will at least look decent. But I'm not sure about Fuzzy Lumpkin, let alone HIM.

For too long have the americans been raping japanese movies. Now the japanese will rape american cartoons.

Shame the japanese have a slight inablilty to rape, possibly due to the small penis size or something.

On the subject of raping other countries shows, have any of you guys heard of the americanization of the british comedy The Office? http://www.myspace.com/theoffice There's a clip of the US version.

Dammit, first they ruin Bob The Builder and now The Office. It won't be as funny now. They better not put canned laughter in it!!!

Gareth is now Dwight!? They will need a smaller stapler to fit all but the last letter of his name on. I'm dreading the M.C. Hammer dance aswell.

Edit: The new Pf. Eutoneum looks gay.

The American version of The Office is bollocks. Imagine taking the funniest, freshest and cleverest sitcom/mockumentary ever created and shitting on it; just squatting down and laying a brick right on there.

Uggh, ugh ugh ugh, ughhh, ughh ugh ugh ugh
*does David Brent dance*
Now thats out of my system I can comfortably say that there's not much similarity between the US and UK series. The Martin look-a-like is the only similarity I actually see.

Personally, I think the show looks like ass, but whatever. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood because I missed all the douche-related fun :P.

While I know there's no way in hell that the remake could match up to the original, Steve Carrell still makes me laugh so I'll probably catch it sometime.

Ricky Gervais is God, though.

You as an American saying that have made me immensely proud to be British. Gervais' stand up routine isn't the best but in The Office he's king.
