Welcome to the Fantasy Zone!Professor Machenstein wrote:It's a work of art to be aware of the flaws and at the same time remain optimistic. For that, my applause goes to you, Opa-Opa. Everyone, I consider you follow this multicolored space-ship with wings from a 1986 Master System game's example. Opa-Opa has displayed true reasoning, looking at both ways between the flaws and the credability.

The entire game was a pit of death! Hey, you signed up on the ninth and yet didn't say anything until now? Correct me if I'm wrong, but this might be the longest perod of time somebody has gone between sign-up and first post...Pinkechidna wrote:Yes, Bingo Highway raped me in the ass repeatedly. Rolling down a brigthly colored ramp only to fall into a cleverly placed pit of death is not my idea of fun.
And the Special Stages were awful.
EDIT: Kick ass, I'm over 100 posts now!

I can't help feeling slightly attracted to it. I mean, the character model seems to have improved, the animation is a lot smoother, and some of the landscape graphics (like the temple/ruins area he shoots into after the loop-de-loop) are pretty slick.
God damn it, it looks better than Heroes, guns or no.

Everyone's been whining about it becoming a "Sonic meets GTA" affair simply because some sort of hand held weaponry is incorporated. To me, it looks more like "Sonic meets PSO". I mean, check that crazy energy sabre thing Shadow uses halfway through the trailer, and the alien designs are quite reminiscent of some of the creatures of Ragol.
I agree with the Prof - more alien riding.

*Slaps forehead* You're right. Eggman already had Egg Carrier II when he attempted to fight Perfect Chaos. I have sinned with my ignorance.Amazing Grant wrote:Egg Carrier III, it would be. He just has a lot of spares.

But wait... It can't be the Egg Carrier III...

It must be the Egg Fleet II.

There's been a flying fortress in nearly every game! It could even be the Wing Fortress mk II for Pete's sake!Professor Machenstein wrote:I still can't help but wonder why the Egg Carrier is in the game. Maybe Eggman pulled a Sonic the Fighters and made an Egg Carrier II. It does look more challenging than it did in Sonic Adventure. That, and Shadow rides an alien. Yar, that be wicked!

I remember that Shadow had a RaMar outfit in the DC Sonic Adventure2, that may be a cool addition as a secret costume. No wait, even better, a secret Lavis Cannon weapon or a Double Saber!

The parts with the bazooka look kind of fun. The concept seems less ridiculous when the weapons he is using are more ridiculous.
Some areas look a little more open, but yeah, it still looks plenty linear and bottomless-pit burdened. But it's just as well that they don't fix the level design. Can you imagine if they did? Shadow's game could end up being the best 3D realization of Sonic gameplay ever. I don't think I could stand that kind of irony.
