You're about right. It's entertaining. Almost like problem solving. It's especially entertaining when I don't really give a shit about the argument, but everyone else thinks I do.

It's called problem creation, the "total opposite" of problem solving.
But yes, it can be quite entertaining in moderation unlike (i.e.) alcohol that can be entertaining when abused.

Well the argument existed before I came and I was more talking about the critical thinking and analysis skills one uses in a debate or argument more then the outcome of the argument (breaking up a fight, convincing one to join your side etc)
