Or maybe it's because I've seen the worst things the web can offer (Thanks to friends that constantly goes "I dare you to enter this site") like shitfetishism, beastiality, man getting his head blown off with a shotgun and harlequin babies, that mere drawings of anthro animals getting it on just comes off as harmless to me.

But mostly I blame curiousity

No. A man getting hit in the head with a shotgun is nothing compared to a .50BMG round. Naturally not all 18,000J of energy are imparted, but I'm willing to wager more so then the 3,700 or so from a point-blank 12-gauge, which also wouldn't impart 100%.
