Wait, are we talking about women-just-want-to-be-treated-equally feminists or are we talking about crazy-nazi-men-will-burn feminists?
The latter.

Well, I finally got the season three boxset of 24. I gotta say, the first episode is unconvincing. Kim... works... for CTU...

SPOILER YOUR SPOILERS!

Also, hurry up and finish it so you can watch Season 4.

I'll have to say, this week's episode was pretty retarded. Mitch Anderson hit Air Force One? It's the first time this season that an event was so unbelievable it bugged me.

The episode's "big twist" is an exciting, if not even remotely surprising one. It certainly sets up the show to head in an interesting direction. But no matter how you look at it, the twist itself was pretty poorly executed.

On one level, you've got all the massive technical problems and inaccuracies. The plane Anderson stole does not have air to air capabilities. And even if it did, there would be no reason for it to have been already armed. Furthermore, Anderson only had the opportunity to steal it because it was already scheduled for some kind of regular flight... but there AREN'T any of these things flying regular scheduled flights over the USA. And even if it HAD been scheduled for a regular flight for some reason, no one at the base seemed to notice that the pilot decided to take it way the hell off course.

And there's way more problems than that, though those are better left to someone who knows what they're talking about. :)

But even ignoring all those issues, it still just didn't work. Obviously 24 is not a particularly realistic show... strange and improbable things happen all the time. But the success of this plan wasn't just implausible in the real world, it was implausible in the world of the show. Compared to some of the elaborate plots foiled in previous seasons, it was just WAY to easy. One guy managed to steal a bomber and shoot down air force one by wearing a pilot suit and making some fake IDs. It was just TOO MUCH.

Also, as if all those fighter escorts and Air Force One were completely defenseless just because it was a STEALTH BOMBER. What the hell?!

Also also, hurrah for the first proper use of spoiler tags.

__Yes, the ridiculous amount of technical stupidness in those last 15 minutes was gay. 24 may have jumped the shark.

Here's a couple things I found weird/stupid that haven't been mentioned.

__Don't we have GPS tracking or something on our own aircraft?
Air Force One would have gone into evasive action, at least once the missile was launched, especially since CTU could see the missile on radar...

Ugh. Just stupid. And if Mr. Anderson manages to get away next episode, it will only be the stupider. I mean, they saw where the missile originated from on radar, so they ought to go after him. And an F-117 wouldn't stand a chance against a couple F-16s, or whatever the escort fighters are.

Also, that part where Edgar got Jack into the root directory was hilarious. Those tv/movie computers.
