Shrine to the Dark one
While recent Sonic games don't make full use of Metal Sonic's potential, most fans would agree that the mechanical masterpiece is the epitome of style and slickness in the Sonic series. However, other than the profile from the Japanese Sonic CD manual, little is know about Eggman's greatest creation. Thankfully, one Japanese Sonic fan has created this shrine to the dark one. While it might lack some of Metal's flair, it does contain a few pictures of official merchandise, artwork and (best of all) his Chaotix profile.

Hey, where's this picture from?

I've never seen that one before. It might be better if I don't find a high-quality version of it, because I'd probably jack off to it.

I have both of these pictures on my SegaSonic the Hedgehog pencil case. Though the item is a bit smudge, should I scan it anyway?J-Man wrote:

Well since big smile asked so nicely...
I tried to clean up the smudges featuring the character images the best I can in Photoshop. Images are a bit big so I warning you 56K'ers.

He isn't holding anything in his hand. He's just making a fist because he's ready to KICK. YOUR. ASS!
As for the way the SegaSonic the Hedgehog label, you got me. Apparently, this name was used in Japanese Sonic merchandise throughout the early-to-mid 90's. Heard it was supposed to be Sonic's full name, but I'm not so sure about that.

That's the only Super Sonic picture I have except for the Sonic R one. I'm pretty sure there's one from the Adventure era in the art gallery of Sonic Shuffle, could anyone get a screenshot of that?
The "SegaSonic" thing from the early nineties was an effort to raise brand awareness. Sonic wouldn't have meant much if people didn't learn to immediately associate him with Sega.

It's in Japanese and doesn't translate properly. Apparently, after being destroyed in Sonic CD, Metal Sonic was rebuilt using the dark ring and some plastic-thing that gives him new powers.Crazy Penguin wrote:So, what does Chaotix have to say about Metal Sonic?

From memory, I think there is also a 'winning' and 'losing' version, but I could be wrong. (I'll try and replay the game to check if I get the chance).

Would that be his amazing power to STAND STILL AND DO NOTHING while the level-select machine gets busted all around him, or his incredible transformation into THE EASIEST FINAL BOSS of the entire series?big_smile wrote:It's in Japanese and doesn't translate properly.
