Oh psh. Windows XP is the most stable OS I've ever used, and even if it's not that (I don't really give half a shit about Linux), it's the most stable Windows OS. It really does not deserve the bashing it's legacy recieves. It has it's quirks, yeah, but those are fixable. I've _never_ ever had Windows XP ever, EVER crash on me when it wasn't my fault. And even then, when it WAS my fault, it still rarely crashes (The only time I've ever had Windows XP truely "crash" is when my old shitty onboard video card would screw something up and Windows would freak out. Since I replaced it with a GeForce 3, I've had nary a hiccup).

I gotta go with Blaze here-- I like XP lots. I don't think it's ever crashed on me, plus it's pretty!
The only thing I don't like is how CTRL-ALT-DEL is no longer the unstoppable force it once was... now you have to wait a while and hit 'end now' several times before it kills anything, and then get interrogated by Microsoft about it or something.

Mm. I've used MacOS (not X or 9 or anything, I think the newest I used was 7.x - all the schools I've attended use Macs and a few of my friends forced me to use it every now and then on their machines), which I wasn't terribly happy with (was great for programs like Photoshop and Painter, though). Linux, wether running a fancy GUI or not, just doesn't seem terribly interesting to me - It doesn't have the widespread support Windows or even MacOS does, often times you get buggy or unfinished code (open source projects and all) and generally you have to compile almost EVERYTHING you get before you run it (I'd rather just download pre-compiled binaries, thanks).
I like Windows. I enjoy Windows. Windows 95 was kind of bleh for me, 98 was okay, and I love XP. It's really quite that simple. I may not have tried every OS on the market, no, but I don't really need to, to know that I like Windows for more than enough reasons to actually seriously consider an alternative OS. It's got the widespread support (every program that's respectable runs in Windows), and as long as I treat it nice, it treats me nice.
