That, quite frankly, surprises the hell outta me. Of all the couplings in the world...

Goofus and Gallant were two boys from "Highlights" magazine. Goofus was the "bad" kid, and showed kids what not to do. Gallant was the "good' kid, and showed kids what to do.

I remember Mad having a parody at some point, but I forget what their names are.

I don't like yaoi. Most Japanese manga artists have to blur out the good parts - wang. And the rest of the parts of men in yaoi don't even look like men. They look like women without boobs.

So without wang or masculine facial features and bodies - yaoi is basically just watching two flatchested women go at it.

Traditionally, yaoi is typically written/drawn by girls and for girls. There are men who enjoy it, but I don't know many.

I've seen some really explicit yaoi drawn by men, and I'm happy with that.

Most men will read fanfiction and doujin for the sex. Most women will do it for the romance.

I don't know if it's because I'm gay, but I like a lot of both. A sappy romance followed by some NC-17, hardcore porn. It's the best of both worlds, really.

It's hard to find female/female pairings online that don't boil down to "these two would look really hot if they screwed". A shame, I guess.
