Writing Lyrics for the Sonic tunes
Just before I went to bed last night, I had a really bizarre idea. Why not try writing lyrics for the music from various classic Sonic zones? At the time, I managed to write a complete set of lyrics for Casino Night Zone:
Wel-come to,
Ca-si-no Night Zone,
We really do hope,
That you enjoy your stay,
With so few bad-niks,
To get in your way,
You can wan-der through and,
Really take your time.
There's lots to do,
In Casino Night Zone,
Those slot machines,
Can give you lots of rings,
We're being gen'rous,
But, there's a snag,
The boss is a monster,
So you're gonna need all,
The rings that you can possibly get.
I also managed to get some lyrics for Emerald Hill, but I forgot them while I was writing down the Casino Night lyrics. I think they went a bit like this:
Theme from,
Em-erald Hill,
This is the theme from,
Em'rald Hill Zone,
With its nifty opening chords,
This the theme from,
Em'rald Hill Zone,
It'll never make you bored,
It's also got two diff'rent instruments,
Performing on the mel'dy line,
- Oh yes it has!
There's some nice interplay going on,
Which I think is rather fine,
- Oh yeah!
It's the theme from the Em'rald Hill Zone,
Sing it loud and sing it clear!
It's the theme from the Em'rald Hill Zone,
Shout and cheer!
Anyway, anyone else up to the challenge of writing lyrics to their favourite zone tunes?

With the Sonic 1 special stages, I used to sing: "spaaaaangly spaaaaangly spaaaaaangly jewel / it's a spaaaangly spaaaaangly spaaaaangly jewel / in the middle you will find a / in the middle you will find a / spaaaangly spaaaangly spaaaangly jewel".
That was it though. And I certainly didn't make forum posts about it.

Y'know the load scenes in Tomba? Where they had the dancing pig with two frames of animation? I used to sing: "Oink, oink, piggy-pig, oink, oink, piggy-pig" over and over and over. Now everytime I see a pig or any visual reference to swinedom, I think of the Tomba load screen and oink, oink, piggy-pig. I may have unintentionally scarred myself.

I used to do a stupid thing in certain parts of the Final Egg and Carnival Night. There was this bit in CN's music that reminded me of the old Western Union jingle:
Everbody needs some money sometimes,
Call Sonic 3's Western Union!
For Final Egg's opening part:
Robotnik, Robotnik, Robotnik dance
In Robotnik, Robotnik, Robotnik's pants!

Call Sonic 3's Western Union!
For Final Egg's opening part:
Robotnik, Robotnik, Robotnik dance
In Robotnik, Robotnik, Robotnik's pants!

OK, so you know how it plays "Live and Learn" when you fight the biolizard?
I don't remember why, but I started writing lyrics to go along with the main guitar riff. (The one the song opens with.) They went like this:
You can kill the lizard,
You can kill the lizard,
You can kill the lizard,
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah!

You and those around you. Thanks, I owe yah!!!
But no, I don't think I ever made up words, unless my brother was playing and I read my book/magazine aloud to the music to annoy him. Or when he was playing those Sonic 3d Flicky's Island special stages, I'd chant "Focus on the Back-GROUND! Focus on the Back-GROUND!"

Weirdest one yet, Metropolis Zone:
<i>"Ma-donna, Madonna-ah! Ma-donna, Madonna-aah!"</i>
(My brother was like 7 when he made that up so...)
I've also got lyrics for Casino Night and S3&K Special World, so if I can remember all of them I'll post them later.
Of course, they weren't made <i>intentionally</i>.

Sad? I own the DVDs to that show, although it's only like a few epsiodes which sucks. I don't care what anyone said, Mama Luigi was a classic.SWING YOUR ARMS
FROM SIDE TO SIDE
COME ON IT'S TIME TO GO DO THE MARIO
TAKE ONE STEP
AND THEN AGAIN
LET'S DO THE MARIO ALL TOGETHER NOW!!
I think it's sad that I still know all the lyrics to that song.
