TI Sonic

Post by Spazz »

If anyone has the TI-89 calculator, they can get a Sonic game for it here. I don't know how good it is though, all I've got is the Silver 83.

So, if anyone here has a TI-89, enjoy. Let us know if it's any good.

Oh, it's not an official game. It's fan-made.

Hey, the hang gliders were cool. Probably the main reason I would reason I'd play that game.

Hangliders are cool. Sonic using hangliders in a game is cool. The implementation and physics of the hangliders in Sonic 2 8-bit was godawful though.

Wow. How's it run? I've seen entire raycasting engines done on like, a TI-83 (seriously, look up Gemini on one of these TI sites). Tempted to pick up an emulator, just to see what it's all about.

Are school rented them to us for 15. I bought my own anyway, then it broke and I bought a new one. Then it was stolen so I gave Staples my old one and said it was the new one and it broke. Good times. TI-83's can play the same games for the most part at the 89's anyway. I ran through the one level of Mario like 80 million times until the batteries on my calcutator died and I never bothered to get the game back. Good times...

Actually, the school made us put down a deposit for the calculators.
They also keep 50% of the fee for 'upgrading costs'.
Really, since I had to pay for the bastard with my guitar fund, I'm rather upset with his inability to play the stupid game.
Eh, whatever.

My school didn't make us pay for them at all, but I bought my own one anyway. Then forwhatever reason it started eating batteries like Oprah eats poor people.

I think the pack of batteries may have been defective, and it's not the calculator, but I haven't gotten a new pack of AAA batteries in years so there's no way to test that out.

My friend had an 89 though. A lot more pixels to that thing than the 83. He also had Kirby on it, the fuck.

Yeah, overall the 89 is the better calculator, which is probably exactly why none of us have them. Those 89's can freaking do anything.

All the 89 is is a slimmed down 92+.

The 92+ even comes with a freakin' QWERTY keyboard...

I'm rather fond of my 86, though the 89 (91?) rocks. Integrates and differentiates functions? Hella cool.

...I don't feel compulsed to ask for boobs. The throes of puberty aren't at work at the moment.
