No. No, I didn't.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Fun fact: remember the old man who won't let you cross Viridian City before you get your Pokédex? In the original japanese text, he was drunk and had passed out in the middle of the road, impeding your progress, but he is merely grumpy for not having his morning cup of coffee in the international release. There's also an old man which is peeking into Celadon City's Gym, exclaiming that he likes that Gym a lot because it's frequented exclusively by young girls.
In HeartGold and SoulSilver, his text has been changed to say that the Gym is full of "great trainers" instead. So Nintendo censored alcohol consumption almost instantly, but it took them 10 years to censor pedophilia.

How can we be sure he didn't just mean "young" compared to his standards--I'd peg Erika to be in her mid-20s, which IS young when you're 60-70 years old.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
If the old guy's a pedophile, then the character designer (?) in Celadon Mansion as well, and I'd think GameFreak would be unwilling to characterize one of their own as such.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Even if technically he isn't a pedophile, he's still a perverted old man.
He's literally peeking into the window!

So would the slightly enhanced third version released a year later be Pokemon Grey?

Pokemon Sepia. Or maybe they'll be strange and pick like Hydrogen or something. They've been known to(Crystal and Platinum were kind of strange picks considering the corresponding games).
I still really want Fedoras. Pokemon Noir would be killer. Aw well, back to baseball caps it seems.

CoroCoro scans show new starters and player designs. Also, it's mentioned that the new region is farther away than the other regions were from each other, hinting that it might be based off of another country besides Japan. North America, perhaps...?
Also the female trainer has amazing hair. I don't even know how to describe it.

I have to say the lizard is the only one of the three starter Pokemon that appeals to me. Maybe their evolved designs will be more interesting.

The female trainer is wearing Daisy Dukes.
Daisy. Dukes.
Daisy. Dukes.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Okay, I'm the kind of guy who'll defend most of the more recent designs, but these look pretty dumb even to me. But hey, they're only three Pokemon. Who can tell what the rest will look like?
"It's OK."
"I've still got two evolutions left"
(this is second-hand so somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
Here's an image giving a better view of the two new player characters. That girl has some crazy ripped shorts.
Also her hair begs comparison with thisstar of one of this season's anime.

They're not too bad, but excessively ridiculous when lined up with every previous set. Don't know that that's a good thing. I'd mind less if they all didn't borrow body shapes from other starters (Cyndaquil's head, ect.). Ignoring that, the "grass snake" looks neat.
The faces on that comic f'ing crack me up.

The english names for the fire pig absolutely must be Piglit, Pignite, and Pignition.

Me and my friends have already started calling the Water-type one "Dooflip" (on account of it looks like the unholy crossbreed of Bidoof and Piplup).

Okey, where is the rest of the bar code in that pokemon?

Speaking of Pokémon names, i still say they should have just went with the fan-name and named Marrill "Pikablue" for the western relase of generation 2. It would have been so awesomely stupid.Crowbar wrote:The english names for the fire pig absolutely must be Piglit, Pignite, and Pignition.

So Pokemon battles are finally going to be fully animated.
Finally.
After 14 years.
About time, dammit.

At this rate we'll get an official Pokemon MMO sometime in the next millennium!
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Well, at least after the franchise's director retires.

Well each girl's gotta have their own fetishwear apparently.Yami CJMErl wrote:The female trainer is wearing Daisy Dukes.

CoroCoro made a point that the trainers are older than the previous ones. God I hope that finally means a timeskip for Ash in the anime.
Also, if we're posting comics....

That's some poor balloon placement in the first two panels.

Yeah, if you're gonna imitate a 4koma, go all the way.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Legendaries revealed. They look OK, I guess, but nothing to write home about.
Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
So given that Arceus is basically god, what do these new legendaries represent?
I heard some crackpot theories that because they have ROM and RAM in their names, they're digital.
Oh that page says that the white one is the mascot for Black version, and vice versa. Is that correct? Seems rather obviously backwards.

Re: Can I Show yous my Pokemon for the Fifth Tiem?
Which is interesting, though it might make sense if the one in each version is the antagonist of that version - i.e., light vs. dark in either case. Either that or you trade them between versions to unlock more stuff. As for what they represent, I think it's just good and evil or something equally non-physical.
