Now that wouldn't make any sense in this context. :[

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
I like the first Megaman X game more than X4, may be because I played it a lot, and used to know all the tricks. The idea of start the game with a wimp that ends becoming an hero is somthing I like in a videogame, plus X wasnt the crybaby he became in later games.

Never thought I'd ever say this, but:
And from the moment you realize that blowing up the walls in that MM2 boss does not reduce its health bar, it should be pretty obvious that you aren't necessarily supposed to blow them all up, amirite?
Also official HP's here and here.
This. Plus X4 style, why not. I'm fed up of crap old-ass 8-bit-like graphics, there's just no excuse for having the same damn game with Sheep Man and everything, only in ass-kicking high quality modern 2D art (save for Capcom profiting on what more or less amounts to officially licensed fangames, of course), period.Dasher wrote:Megaman 9 and 10 are fine and all but Id like to see one Megaman 8 style.

I enjoyed Rockman & Forte, but X5,X6 and so on sucked.
I like this BTW.

But yeah, More 16 or 32 bit sprite 2d games I say!

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
Someone at CES2010 played the game and leaked the names of all the MM10 Robot Masters. Apart from SheepMan and CommandoMan, we have:
BladeMan
SolarMan
ChillMan
NitroMan
StrikeMan (boss of the sports-themed stage at the show)
PumpMan
BladeMan
SolarMan
ChillMan
NitroMan
StrikeMan (boss of the sports-themed stage at the show)
PumpMan

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
Didn't read that spoiler, but Capcom USA seems to be begging fansite operators who played the game to keep their mouths shut about the revealed names until whenever. lol, what the hell did they expect?

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
It is weird how publishers get upset about little things like this.
The game is coming out in a few months, does it really matter if that names of some robots we will forget by next year get leaked?

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
Well, the point is rather moot now, since the latest CoroCoro reveals them all (with pictures) anyway.

Lots of new gameplay. Music is going for a ambient style this time around.

So I've only briefly played one or two Rockman games. Which ones are the best? Keep in mind that I kind of suck at anything harder than NES Super Mario Bros games.

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
I would say to just get the Anniversary Collection considering old Mega Man games are best bought in bulk, but for dumbass reasons it was US only.Crazy Penguin wrote:So I've only briefly played one or two Rockman games. You're probably not going to get a clear answer if you're just looking for "the best"; everybody's got an opinion. A bunch of people harp about MM2 and it's worth playing, but I can't really stand it, and for that matter you would probably throw in the towel at Wily's Castle because it's the most bastardly incarnation of it ever made. I guess the question becomes, how many do you want to try?

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
The common consensus is that 2 & 3 are the best of the original batch, with 9 ranking up there with most people. I myself prefer 3.
I found 2-4 completely manageable in terms of difficulty, with 1, 5-MM&B in their own league. All of them are balls-hard if you don't consult a FAQ for the Robot Master weakness chain, if that's something you avoid for whatever reason.

DLC secrets revealed in tiles
-Three special stages include Ballade, Enker and Punk.
-Forte can dash and probably can use double jump.
-Forte's bullets are bigger. And he can fuse with treble.
-Reggea seems to be in the game.

Woah, never thought the GB Robot masters would make a comeback.
And I'm assuming Quint's absence means Mega Man is free of the time loop now?

Re: Mega Man 10 Announced.
So I played and beat the game (on Easy Mode). It's quite good, though there aren't any real twists unless you count Wily as the one who created/spread the Roboenza virus "unexpected". In my experimenting with the title, I believe I've figured out how the "weakness cycle" works in this game:
SheepMan: use Rebound Striker
StrikeMan: use Triple Blade
BladeMan: use Commando Bomb
CommandoMan: use Wheelie Blade
NitroMan: use Chill Spike
ChillMan: use Solar Blaze
SolarMan: use Water Shield
PumpMan: use Thunder Wool

BladeMan: use Commando Bomb
CommandoMan: use Wheelie Blade
NitroMan: use Chill Spike
ChillMan: use Solar Blaze
SolarMan: use Water Shield
PumpMan: use Thunder Wool

Haha, Sheep Man is a rehash.
