I live in the boonies of North Carolina. The only games the local videogame stores have to rent are for the Super Nintendo.

You know what is pretty damn good? The Pocket Monsters Special/Pokemon Adventures comic. It's very faithful to the games in look and feel, and isn't afraid to add its own twists and spin on things. I've never seen such a clever, faithful and well thought out video game to comic/TV/movie adaptation before. The writer is obviously a big fan of the games, and both of the artists the series has had follow Ken Sugimori's designs down to a tee. Satoshi Tajiri, creator of Pokemon, has even said that out of all the various Pokemon media out there, this comic is the closest to the world he was trying to portray.

It's a great injustice that the godawful TV series is in syndication paradise whilst the Pocket Monsters Special/Pokemon Adventures comic is only currently available in English in Singapore.

Yeah I love “Pocket monsters specialâ€￾, I will even buy it online if I knew Japanese. For now all I have is the summaries I read in Serebii.net.

Mmm, enlighten me, you helped me to fix the errors in my Tails sprite comic or it was Ice penguin?

I just got Chuang Yi's English language versions of volumes 1-14 a few weeks ago, which made me realise that I need more shelves.

And I have never had any involvement in any sprite comics, ever, I have no idea who Ice Penguin is, but it's not me.

Pocket Monsters special totally kicks the ass of the anime - 'cause ya know - the manga actually has a PLOT - opposed to the anime . . . which is less inspired than Scooby Doo.

Anyways, I love the current series of Pokemon Special - Ruby and Sapphire. Ruby is an 11-year old flaming homosexual boy, and Sapphire is a macho, constantly pissed off, violent, wild girl who runs through the woods naked. With a duo like that, how can you NOT be entertained by their exploits?

Do these sell online? Once I have the power to own my own credit card or I can somehow convince my parents, I'll consider buying them. I hope the plot isn't so fast paced and rushed which is what I saw in a lot of games-to-comic adaptation I have read.

If you want it in English then you'll have to get the Singapore versions published by Chuang Yi.

The only place online that sells them (as far as I know) that will deliver outside of the Singapore region is whatcomics.com ( http://www.whatcomics.com/cat_pokemon_adventures.cfm ), but for them to deliver outside of Singapore you have to EMAIL them at support@whatcomics.com and ask for a special order delivery, telling them what books you want and where to deliver them to. You HAVE to pay via Paypal. If you don't have a Paypal account I recommend you set one up anyway, they're very useful. The airmail delivery is a little pricey, but the books themselves are very cheap (around the equivelent of $5 US or less each), so it evens out.

I should give that Pokemon comic a read, it sounds great.

Yeah, Yu-gi-oh is fucking stupid. I would understand Pokemon battles, because if you like, fought someone and they lost, they couldn't do anything to you because obviously, your Pokemon would beat the freakin' shit out of them. I don't see cards being able to do that.

I've only been on this board for less than ten minutes and already I can't tell the difference between any of you?

Are SegaSonic fans all the same or just the same kid behind all these members?

That doesn't even make sense. It takes time to learn who's who when you enter a previously established community. Of course you can't tell any of us apart; you don't KNOW us.
