Why would Sonic CD be your favorite game in the first place?

Because he gets it. I gave up on trying to explain it to you losers a long time ago.Segaholic2 wrote:Why would Sonic CD be your favorite game in the first place?
That said I don't know if I'd call it my favorite game.
I think the point is that he likes Flower? I think this violates the "one line review" rule though. What's your point?

Sonic CD was easily my favorite Sonic game. Favorite game, period, though? I like too many genres and have too many favorites from each one to pick one definitive title.

Flower is a pretty nice game and probably the best PSN game I've played.
I've only played the entirety of Sonic CD once, and while I prefer the Genesis games I still appreciate it for what it is and can see why people like it.
btw I like your Arslan avatar P.P.A.

I don't know about you guys, but the only reason I'm not beating punks to a pulp in Batman: Arkham Asylum right now is because my 360 gave me the 2rl the other day. Damn, best Batman anything ever.
I've got S3&K and Sonic CD pretty much tied, but my all time favorite is still Shadow of the Colossus.

And here i thought that everyone in the world was reqired to think that Super Mario 64 is the greatest game of all time. That's a law that most professional game reviewing magazines seem to support anyway.

That's Ocarina of Time.

Re: Sonic CD is no longer my favourite game.
I enjoyed my first run through Sonic Adventure more than any other video game ever. I found it didn't have a lot of replayability, though, and I've never had the motivation to clear it to 100% (unlike its sequel).
FFVI is probably the game I invested the most time in. I must have cleared it 4-5 times now. I also cleared Tales of the Abyss, a much longer but crappier game, 3 times, for reasons I can't even explain to myself.

I like FFVI and, eventually, decided I like FFVII (after initially loving it before spending years unsure what to make of it thanks to all the backlash), but FFX is definitely my favourite in the series, despite its obvious flaws.
Still haven't played FFIX, though, despite having had it sitting on my shelf for well over a year now after impulse-buying the PS1 versions of most of the series.
I've long since given up trying to name an all-time favourite game. I suppose S3&K is probably at the top in terms of long-term influence, and Yoshi's Island, Gitarooman, Devil May Cry, and others have occupied the temporary number 1 spot at some point or other.
Man, you know what was awesome? Abe's Oddysee.
Also Majora's Mask was better than OoT.

Devil May Cry doesn't seem like my kind of game, but all those others you mentioned are indeed great, and are still some of my favorite games ever. Off the top of my head, I would also add the original MediEvil and Metroid Prime to the list (specifically the enhanced Wii port, which, along with its sequel, is just about the only game out there that benefits from added motion controls).Crowbar wrote:I've long since given up trying to name an all-time favourite game. Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time haven't aged particularly well, but try explaining that to... just about anyone.

SM64's camera kind of stinks nowadays, but the game itself has held up quite well. As for Ocarina... yeah, I can't think of anything that really needs improvement in Ocarina.

Both games seem kind of clunky to me, at least in comparison to their younger brethren (obviously). I also never cared for SM64, so... yeah.

I play Super Mario 64 and Ocarina of Time from time to time, but they never really caught me to the point of being unable to break free from their, presumably, ungodly addicting clutches. And I didn't finish either.
I do remember being madly fanaticized by everything SM64 back on early 1996 though, but the same thing happened with Sonic Adventure in 1998, both of them far beyond my economical grasp.

Mario 64 is alright, but the later levels have horrible platforming. By this I mean half the game.
Zelda 64 is just boring.
