I don't really get who this show is aimed at. Surely video game fans would pass because it's only tangentally related to their hobby, and people who usually watch this shit would rather watch the singing/dancing/modeling/skating/Flava-Flaving/cooking/rapping/comedy-doing versions?

Anyway, all of these shows suck. Can we start talking about Come Dine With Me instead?

Is is this a joke?

That was the first comment I saw to this video and it reflects my thoughts upon first hearing about this "reality show".

The fact that this show exists troubles me. It heavily romanticizes a entry-level job that I thought was well known to be dull and exhausting. Sony is clearly exploiting the younger public's fascination and lack of understanding of the videogame industry. I mean LOOK AT THEM half of the contestants are smiling as if they're about to get their dream job. The other half looked determined as if being a tester for Sony would pay higher than their current job. The host(S?) Are also trying to make it look like a highly skilled job. "...You're compete in challenges is designed to test the essential skills of a PlayStation game tester." They make it sound exclusive by calling the prize "being the next PlayStation game tester".

I probably need not explain it here in full but quality of life is a page and really talked about issue in the videogame in the industry. The first page of Google when I search "standard of living in the video game industry" is proof enough:
