If anyone released clean and full version of both of them I would jump up and down giggling and with a heart hovering over my head.
Well, I don't have a clean MP3 of it, but using that very Land of Darkness segment (and the fight up at the ice caps) as a reference, I made a MIDI of it. I do wish they released the track itself, though, so I could be absolutely sure I got all the notes right - there are a few points where, in both segments, the audio is obscured by either ambient noise (like a waterfall or lots of explosions) or dialogue (at least in the English version).

(Sounds best on a Sound Blaster, btw. Those helicopter noises are actually car screeches and a car zooming by - but only Sound Blaster seems to have that instrument. Fun!)

Really liking Is It You. Fire Woman is average Crush 40 fare, though.

You can add me to the want-that-Sonic-OVA-opening-sequence-sax-tune-real-bad list (also Land of Darkness). Look-a-like is all good, too.

Yeah, that "Land of Darkness" clip isn't even remotely accurate. If you listen hard enough you can hear Sonic jumping at the exact same point in each measure. They did an ugly cut-and-paste job to cut out the ambient noise, without any regard for the fact that they're cutting out part of the tune when they do so.

Compare to its actual use in the OVA.

Well what was he meant to do? Acquire multi-tens-of-thousands of dollar equipment and spend days and days EQing out the sound-effects and dialogue?

I dunno, between that clip and its use up in the finale (whatever that ice place with the lava is called), splice the two such that you use one where it has the least obstructing noise and the other when IT has the least obstructing noise?
