WTF moments in videogaming
So, what moments in videogaming surprised you or made you go, "What the fuck?!"
I think my first moment was way back when Mega Man 2 was on the NES; I decided to shoot Metal Man with his own weapon, and then I was like, "Did what happen... really just happen now?" and then laughed.

This one is classic among me and my brothers. We were playing Mortal Kombat II on Genesis, and after we'd finished a little tournament among ourselves we just let the game roll (introduction, high scores, demos, you know the sort of the thing.), and at one point a demo of Baraka versus Kung Lao begins.
Round 1
Fight
Kung Lao throws his hat.
Baraka immediately gets his head chopped off.
Kung Lao wins.

My brother beating Eggman in Dr. Robotnicks' Mean Machine (In Very Hard Mode), under a minute on the Genesis. We both to this day, do not know how that happened.
Being so frustrated with the game 8 years ago (and losing to a very difficult Eggman), we covered Eggman's side of the TV, so we wouldn't get distracted. Then, just like that.. we won. It took like litterally only 40 seconds, and it was over. I think about it now, and I'm like, "Double you tee eff happened that night."

My friend George and I were playing Super Punch-Out!! and he had been losing rather consistently to Bob Charlie. Specifically, Bob has this move where he moves back to his side of the ring and then comes spinning back with his fists out, and for Geroge, it was nigh upon impossible to dodge or counter. Eventually, he became sick of losing to this move and handed me the controller. I wasn't half as comfortable with the game's controls as he was, so when Bob came in yet again with that particular move, I was sure I was finished and simply threw a blind, desperate punch.
Apparently, there's a very brief window in this move in which a counterattack is possible. And apparently, I found it on my first try. Poor George was aghast.

I just played Sky High Zone in Sonic 2 Game Gear for the first time since, oh, 1991 when one guy brought his GG into school on the last day.
What, you grab the hangglider and just slowly move right until you hit the sign? That it? In both acts? After I died like 20 just trying to grab it at first???
Buuuut, that hardly counts. I'd agree that Dynamite Headdy was one huge long wtf, especially the secret boss at the end with his lethal homing money.
One time, while playing Dungeon Keeper, I launched an obviously suicidal attack on a Hero Dungeon and got utterly slaughtered. The Dungeon voice said, "Your pants are definitely too tight." I've never been able to get him to say that or anything like it again....

Using the level select to skip to the final boss in Ecco the Dolphin.
Up until that point, I'd never gotten past the third stage. I thought Ecco was just a nice little nature sim about a dolphin fighting jellyfish. I wasn't expecting to get sucked into the mouth of a humongous Giger-esque alien head! Now THAT can scar a kid!
